Even when he manages to pitch relatively well he manages to screw up... There is no excuse for that.... Get him off this team im tired of this guy screwing up for this team...If the A's want him in a deal for Zito do it in a heartbeat.... I've officially given up on Heilman
Seems that's his heart's desire. To be a starter that is. Looks like he's making a case to get out of New York. I say send him on his way. He pouted that he wanted to start. Now it appears he really doesn't give a damn about relieving anymore..
Add on: However, I would NOT trade Sanchez. He is going to be the closer when Wagner is done in 4 years. Sanchez is like 2 years younger than Heilman too.
heilman is extremely expendable at this point and we can package him and get a player of signficance to improve this team....its a no brainer....and i think omar sees that
or heilman, nady for zito...then bring up the coveted milledge?? then chavez could get in there more and platoon in right which is a nice platoon...and with the mets lineup and nady being the 8th hitter i think the lineup would be just fine
Heilman seems very frustrated, today was just the icing on the cake. I'm not opposed to moving him but I'd hate to mess with the chemistry of our bull pen, they've been great this year and when Aaron is pitching well (which we know he can when he's focused) they're dominant. This is obviously all mental at this point, I hope he can get over it.
Yeah, but you don't understand. The Yankees need to seize this opportunity. They MUST trade their top prospect. They absolutely MUST. They haven't won a World Series since 2000. When you are close you make those trades. Who the hell is Phillip Hughes?
i dont think it would disrupt the chemistry at all....john maine can fill that spot...put orlando in the bullpen...the mets have 3 guys that can fill heilmans role...no problem.... and if the mets shop him they can advertise him as a starter as well...which will raise his value considering the lack of capable starting pitchers
