Just booked our flight and tickets to the Jets Bills game on November 14th! Headed there with the old man. First time seeing a Jets game in Metlife! Would be cool to tailgate and meet up with some of you all! Sitting in section 216 on Jets side
What year was that? I was at Shea in 76 to see Namath come off the bench to rally to a win over the bills for the first win of the illustrious Lou Holtz era. Being it was Shea, the weather was certainly shitty, but I think it was too early in the season for snow.
'73, mid-December. nyjunc once got into a stupid argument - well, not really an argument, just niggling nonsense when I said it was a night game. It was a 4:00 game and it got dark really early so they had the flood lights on. I remember that game very clearly other than the frostbite on my feet. At one point people started leaving and then the Jets fans that were left starting cheering for OJ, hahaha. Shea was a sick gig.
If OJ didn't do what he did he would be remembered as one of the all time greats. He really is the single season all time rushing leader not Eric Dickerson. 2003 yards in 14 games is better than 2105 yards in 16 games.
His kids have adjusted and have decent independent lives now, but if I was a child of murder I would have a hard time with that. How do you internalize that, I have no idea.
Headed to New York Friday evening and will be there until Monday! Been years since I've been in New York, but pumped to finally get back! Wondering who we're gonna see on Sunday, White or Wilson!
It's all about hanging out with your Dad. The game is secondary, especially at this point. Ask @Cman65 or @Brook! to pin it and see what other jamokes are tailgating.
Curious which prosecution theory you believe--the cold blooded killer stalking his prey or the ex-husband who becomes enraged and maniacal at a moments notice?
