Ok, just to be clear.. I don't necessarily think this is something that will happen or should happen or anything like that. But I figure someone will post this eventually so we might as well get it started. Looks like the Skins may just end up cutting their losses with Haynesworth and releasing him over his refusal to play the nose in their defense. Well, the Jets have 2 nose tackles already but are a little thin at end. Since Tannenbaum has proven to not be shy about adding big name players with personal problems or issues, is this something that could happen? He already got paid a fortune by the Skins, plus with his issues, wherever he signs may get him on the cheap for this year so he can prove himself.. http://profootballtalk.nbcsports.co...says-that-haynesworth-news-could-happen-soon/
for fucks sake, the gripe of his opposition to the Redskins is he doesn't want to play in a 3-4. what f'ing D do we play?!? the f'ing 3-4! because other people may be f'ing stupid and post something that has nothing to do with the Jets in the Jets forum about a player who wouldn't fit in with the Jets and won't be on the Jets you then think doing so doesn't reflect the same on you, or are you simply glad to be in that company? wrong f'ing forum! it isn't Jets news! for crying out loud. and he has nothing to prove. he got paid.
I wouldn't count out the jets FO from at least entertaining the idea of signing big Al, but the chance of him coming here are probably
So a player who doesn't want to play the 3-4, comes to a team playing the 3-4? They will not cut him, they already paid him a huge chunk of guaranteed money.
No, his gripe is that he doesnt want to play nose tackle. He would play DE but they were unwilling to just play him there and wanted him to play DT as well, so he just hasn't showed up. When he's released you know full well the Jets will be mentioned and rumored as a potential landing spot because of their penchant for getting big name players with past troubles. I think you need to relax there, pal. If a mod wants to move it, they can and will.
I am a UT fan big time. Loved Haynesworth on the Vols, loved him on the Titans. Then he went to DC and now the guy is a piece of garbage. I DO NOT WANT BIG AL ON MY TEAM. That is my humble opinion. That and he already said he doesn't want to play in a 3-4 scheme. Not sure why this has been brought up again. The guy has turned into a HUGE bitch. He does have a bad rock crawler though and I'd go wheeling with him fo sho.
Big Al wants to be a 4-3 defensive tackle. He's said that over and over and over again. This thread is fucking retarded. Send this shit to the cesspool.
in all fairness to the OP, we don't play a conventional 3-4, and I'm sure that if we got haynesworth rexy would figure out a way to best use his skills. We play more of a 3-4/4-3 /4-6 hybrid, so telling the OP that its stupid bc we play a 3-4 is just plain stupid. The idea of getting haynesowrth is stupid bc of the shit storm it would create in the locker room, bringing in another big contract while not taking care of their own, that song and dance
I would take him over douche b Taylor. That's the guy who should be kept from the team. If he plays end all's well for a fact though he will not play nose tackle that was made clear in his press release.
This guy has proven to be an asshole the entire offseason. Now we have Revis, and Mangold opening their mouths asking for a pay day. Now we bring this Albert jerkoff our main two guys are going to flip shit. Pass.
SIGN HIM NOW WE NEED TO WIN THE SUPERBOWL HE'S OUR BEST CHANCE AT GETTING THERE I HEART HAYNESWORTH HE'S MONEY IN THE BANK AND WON'T BE MAD IF HE COMES TO NY BECAUSE I KNOW IN MY HEART THAT HE'S A REALLY NICE GUY AND WANTS TO PLAY FOOTBALL ON A REALLY GOOD LEVEL FOR ALOT MORE YEARS BECAUSE HE'S DURABLE AND I LIKE PLAYERS THAT LIKE TO PLAY FOOTBALL IT'S AWESOME LOL! (hoping that I wasted the same amount of time for the OP that he wasted for me in opening this shithole of a thread)
not gonna happen, not to mention i highly doubt the skins are gonna release him with all the money they have already guaranteed him
