I was talking about this two weeks ago - The Broncos match up excellently with the Jets. The Titans game was ours to win, and this game is the Broncos' to lose. They just made a big mistake, however. With 22 seconds left and Cutler hot, they went for a FG. Any Jets fan here who thinks that they would not have gotten a touchdown if they went for it is fooling themselves, and the fact that they let up right before the half opens them up for the Jets to come back in a big way after the half. A big defensive stop or turnover, and you can expect this game to get completely turned on its head. This isn't SoJ or anything else. This is all about three big M's - Matchups, Motivation and Momentum. The Broncos had the matchups, they had the motivation, and the momentum swung their way early on. They have slowed themselves down with that field goal, however, and you had better believe that the Jets are going to be motivated after being embarrassed in the first half. I expect that on D, there will either be a big (watch for the safeties jumping the route as opposed to a corner beating the receiver) interception or a big hit on Hillis in the first three plays. I wouldn't think Hillis would cough up the ball and Cutler will probably be watching for the strip on him, so don't expect a fumble.
jets have been playing awul and still aren't out of this one. if they let them come right down the field to start the second half this one is over but if they can figure out whats going on with the defense it they could get back in this one quick.
14 pts off of turnovers, one of which was the Refs not doing their job... its all about turnovers... fuck the Broncos being better, and the Broncos are getting all the breaks. This isn't magical shit thats happening, its all right in front of us.
turnovers have killed us all game, the broncos are just getting all the breaks, they were humiliated by the raiders so i guess they have a chip on their shoulders
We're not going to win this one. Is one of those days in which everything goes wrong. Refs, playcalling, opposition. The Broncos have been a lot better than us. Maybe this will help us get our feet on the ground nd start from scratch again.
unless our pass defense improves i dont see us making a push in the playoffs. eventually we're gonna run into a team that isn't terrible at passing
If the Jet's had a decent defensive coaching that knew how to make adjustments this game wouldn't be out of hand. This team came into this game expecting an easy win they are FLAT. It's the coaching staff's job to NOT let that happen.
