May you all be healthy and happy with the #1 overall pick. Here’s to a better 2021. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Best wishes to those to the right and the left and mostly somewhere between; to the Lawrence, Field and Darnold backers, the draft guys and the trade guys. May the holiday spirit inflict those who need it most and may Santa bring revelations to those here who need them as well as those who are often the subject of our discussions. And mostly, may 2021 be a much better year for all!
Merry Christmas!!!! We're not going 0-16. Win #1 (shoulda been win #2). End the season on a three games winning streak.
Yeah.. end the season winning 3 meaningless games just like we ended the season last year with meaningless wins. We just blew our chance at a generational QB and we're supposed to be happy? Really????
Build a team around Darnold. He was Lawrence back in 2018. There's no reason they can't do for Darnold what they would've done for Lawrence. Quinnen looks like a beast. Have to do things the right way.
He was never lawrence and not even close. He wasnt even that good today. Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
Build the team around Darnold sounds great. 3 years in and we haven't done it yet. Maybe JD has some epiphany and actually starts to build around Darnold. I was never really sold on TL anyway.
Darnold still sucks, he wasnt great today. When do we stop settling for qbs who cant break 250 a game? Sent from my SM-N986U using Tapatalk
Well, I guess we're in for a long wait then. Really looking forward to watching Lawrence lead the Jags to the postseason year in and year out while Fields tries to figure out how to hit an open receiver or while waiting for Darnold to finally learn to read an NFL defense. But, yeah, happy holidays indeed. I honestly think I'd have felt less offended by the Jets today if Woody Johnson had actually come into my home and slapped me in the face and then left a lump of coal in my stocking on the way out.
They HAVE TO give Darnold a REAL chance before they give up on him. That QB draft class was considered one of the best ever I remember it well. What Lamar Jackson did last year, what Allen & Mayfield are doing this year you see what those teams have put around them then compare it to what the Jets have done here there's no comparison. It's a joke how the Jets have mishandled Darnold. Darnold could still turn out to be the best QB of the bunch. They have to do things the right way.
I agree with you however, its the WHEN that's bugging me. We got Mims and Becton in this last draft. At this rate, it will be 2025 or later before the Jets become relevant again. Yeah, other teams have developed far quicker but we're not other teams and our curve seems almost flat when it comes to improvement.
