Dwight didn't sign anywhere yet, right? I'd have to figure he's more in the mix, now.

Was Tab Perry returning punts or did he only return kickoffs last season? 'Cause if Perry returned punts he won't anymore with Chatman on board. This move indicates to me that Perry is going to a bigger part of the offense in '06, probably the third wideout after Johnson and Houshmandzadeh. I wouldn't be surprised if Chris Henry were to get cut.

Why would Chatman go to a team loaded at the WR position? He could have contested for the #3 WR position here...I guess the money was greater at Cincy which is a good reason to go there.

I really liked the idea of him on our team. Oh well...not a huge loss.

Chatman likes to sit on the bench I guess. The Bengals got three stud WR's in C. Johnson, Housh & the rookie sensation from WVU Chris Henry. Thats like being a QB and accepting an offer from Green Bay in the mid nineties.

The only players the Jets acquired are two UFA's that had no interviews with other teams (Kimo von Oefflen and Chapman) a player who had no say in being traded, Patrick Ramsey. Don't overpay means don't sign free agents who are in even the slightest demand.

The FO couldn't even replace Anthony Becht when the two best blocking TE free agents went to Hofstra and both signed elsewhere.

No problem, the Jets will draft seven future Hall of Famers, right?

How come you're not on a Chiefs board? You said you were going to root for the Chiefs this season on another board.

Henry is a major pot smoker/wacko. I can rip on him because I'm a former WVU student (although I transferred and graduated elsewhere). I was there when he got ejected from a game in Rutgers in 2004.

He got in trouble after this past season. He was outside a club and waved a firearm in plain view of a police officer and did this while wearing his own jersey.

Tab Perry was very, very good last season. The Bengals could try to trade Henry and may even consider cutting him.

I don't think they wanted him either. We're too nice.

With the new GM and HC lacking the credibilty and respect that our former HC and GM gave the franchise we will have a hard time signing FA's. Like the Bengals used to do we will have to overpay FA's to come here until the kiddie corps can somehow prove themselves.

No way the Bengals cut Henry. I know he has attitude problems & off the field issues but he truely is an extremely talented wideout. But I guess if he does get cut & can't find another team he can always go back to Morgantown & check ID's at Elements.

    Yeah!

He's much the south Florida guy though. He's got the whole look and the pot love.

In 1989 Andre Rison had the same sort of rookie impact that Chris Henry had 16 years later. The Colts traded Rison before the 1990 season and he was a 1st round draft pick.
Anyway, if Cincy did sign Chatman somebody's gotta go. They have Chad Johnson, T.J. Houshmandzadeh, Chris Henry, Tab Perry, Kelley Washington (last I looked), and now Antonio Chatman.

I have confirmed that Tab Perry did not return punts last season. That'll be Chatman's job. I have to believe Washington will be gone. He's a restricted free agent and I suppose Cincinnati will let him wander. Unless there is a trade, Chatman will probably be 5th on the depth chart at wideout.

With the Jets he probably would have been the punt returner and 4th wideout.

Maybe he's just not a NY kind of guy and just used the Jets for leverage.

There are two things that attract FA's - money and a winning program.

That's a new interesting angle to arguing for Leinart though - 10 points for creativity.
