Just read on NFL.com that Grant Winstrom was released by the Seahawks. What do you guys think about him?

Not really. His size means he'd have to play OLB for us. He has no experience there, and his effectiveness has gone way down the last couple of years. Plus he's an injury liability.

In conclusion, pass. He's not worth the money he'll command.

He didn't show much after signing with Seattle. Could he help us in some fronts and situations? Probably. Is he worth competing for in this free agent market? Not at all. At least not unless he gets no significant offers.

If the Jets went 4-3 in obvious passing situations he'd be better than anybody else we have at the moment to bookend the pass rush with Ellis.

I think that if you look at his numbers the last few years you have to wonder though if his injury and fat contract removed his competitive ability and drive.
