Hey all - with Ted Washington and Maake off the market already, has anyone heard about us making a run at Grady? He's 33, but is 345 and would be an ideal NT in a 3-4 or 4-3. Anyone heard any noise about us going after him?
Even with the new cap he might be to much money, I'd rather a guy who would be chaper and would last more than 3-4 years.
Not just good he's great but old and expensive. I remember watching him play the Lions and 3 plays in a row they tried to QB sneak and he just pushed the line way back and made the tackle.
Pasquarelli doesn't have Grady as one of his top 50 FA's, but does have Sam Adams, perhaps another possibility.
I'm not sure that Jackson will cost that much. He's got a bad wheel. Waiting him out is in fact, about the best strategy at his point.... let's see him bring his silly agent fueled demands down some. I'd still prefer him over fatso Teddy.
IMO hes a decent player, but hes no superstar like much of the board is making him out to be. Id probably rank him below Sam Adams, and a little more than Ted Washington. Id take a swing at him if he comes cheap.
This thread is about defensive tackles and you bring up and offensive tackle? I like grady to be a jet, i like sam adams better. Either one will do, whichever is cheaper.
i wanna see yao ming lay down and trip the whole offensive line, then we could use anybody for an end
I know Grady is a load, but does he have any 3-4 experience? Komeateu and Ted Washington always made sense since they had 3-4 NT experience.
