is it just me or should he not be holding off on putting the paperwork through in order to avoid a situation in green bay? i would say he needs to keep his ass out of the situation and let the parties work it out for themselves no matter how that happens.

i really cant stand goodell and this just adds fuel to the fire that he wants to be the dictator of the league and rule over every little thing that goes on.

this is a dangerous man to the league, he is too power hungry in every little situation.

I just understand why he gets himself involved in these situations when clearly it should be between Favre and the team. I think it shows how incapable he is of handling the commish job and how he favors certain players...or teams. what a dope.

I think he is just looking out for the best interests of the league. Burt's legacy is a huge marketing tool for the NFL, therefore irreparable damage to his image means irrecoverable money for the league.

Goodell is doing everything he can to allow Favre to land in Minny....it would be the Mecca of all marketing extravanzas in week 1....which has to leave Goodell salivating like one of Pavlov's experiments.

thats one of my issues, he wants something to happen because it would be marketable, so he does whatever the hell he wants to try and get his personal agenda done...

the guy really makes me sick. he isnt only becoming a bad commish he in my eyes is a bad commish who is going to hurt the league. from the suspensions that he hands down and meetings he must have with any player who gets in any trouble. to the fiasco of the patriots cheating last year and the throwing out of pieces to that investigation. to the pressure being put on by certain members of the govt. to this.... its just becoming a never ending line of this tool being involved in shit and doing whatever he wants.

hell thats not even getting into the fact that mike nolan had to get specially made suits to wear on the sideline because they had to be nfl merchandise (not sure if this was under goodells watch, dont kill me if it wasnt) the guy and his office is making TERRIBLE decisions and getting involved in way too much shit that they should leave the hell alone.

maybe i am overreacting but its just becoming too much for me. i dont remember the great commisioners of the past being anything like this guy and i just dont think he and his ways will be beneficial to the league or the end product that they put out there every week.

my problem with Goodell is that he plays favourites.....how does that coach in Dallas get suspended for taking a "prescribed" banned substance....the coach isn't playing the game, let him snort coke for all i care, and Belicheat gets away with no suspension for BLATANTLY cheating...just a slap on the wrist and a fine.

That's when i lost all respect for that clown.

Goodell has done ok as a a Warden of the NFL, but I fear his non-sheriff skills. He doesn't have what Rozell or Tagliabue had in terms of person to person management.

i agree djak he does play favorites and isnt necessarily very consistent.

he sure does act like the warden and thats one of the things that bothers me about him. its tough to be the warden as he appears to want to be and have the person to person skills...
