http://www.nypost.com/p/sports/jets/serby_sunday_with_matt_slauson_PU88kjkmttn5FqpWggKh6L/0 A bit long but worth the read... it always amazes me how much stuff NFL players go through before becoming who they are. A mother with MS, a twin brother with brain problems etc etc. I think once you know more about guys like him you realize they're human beings too and you root harder for them. I certainly will for him! It's also nice to see his priorities are in the right order... unlike many players (WRs?) in this league.
edit: finish reading, very nice interview indeed Q: One guy on your team you’d want in a barroom brawl? A: Wayne Hunter. I know Wayne has been getting a little bit of heat over the last couple of weeks, but I want Jets fans to continue believing in him, because this guy is a beast, he is a freak athlete, strongest guy I know, runs like a deer. Once he gets all the cobwebs out and gets all his techniques set, this guy is gonna be a heckuva player.
Oh man that would be so good... I think not having an entire TC really hurt this guy (and Moore, not allowing him to rehab properly). Wishful thinking though...
He's 30. He should have seen enough snaps by the age of 30 to not have technique or cobweb issues. Not a starter in the league, won't be.
I agree but it's nice to see a player stand up for his team mate.I'll prefer these kind of comments from Slauson rather than the comments from Holmes earlier in the season.
