I like the summation as it kind of puts the entire season into perspective. No reason to fear a blowout playing in Buffalo. The Jets do belong on the same field. Win or lose, Give em hell Jets!!
Yes, a good and fair assessment. All of the gloom and doom gnashing of teeth was unwarranted. They could easily have 6-7 wins despite all that happened, and being such a young team - including the CS. Six or seven wins was about where most people pegged them - again before all the key injuries. They still have a lot of holes, and JD is going to have have at least a good of draft - and hopefully better FA - to really turn the corner, but They have some great young pieces, and very likely have their FQB, so things are better than a lot of people think.
The "gloom and doom gnashing of teeth" was fully warranted... But we've looked better the last month or so... maybe we can wrap up the season on a high note.
This team was never going to be more than a dumpster fire. We caught a lot of breaks alongside all the injuries. Got to face the Titans w/o both of their starting WR's and then their Center went down early, leading to a huge contract for JFM. Then we got to play the Falcons in London and again the opponent was really shorthanded. Then Mike White comes out of nowhere looking like Kurt Warner. I really thought early on that 3 wins had been too optimistic and that was with 2 wins in the books already.
