We were wrong about Gase. This guy isn't the answer. Right the wrong go get McCarthy while he's still available. After this disaster he'll look even better than he would've before. CLEAN HOUSE!!!! GET 'EM ALL OUTTA HERE!!!!
I agree, if McCarthy is still available, get him. The team can't do any worse, and at least we'd have something to look forward to instead of more of this shit.
Who is "we"? Everyone I know knew he was a shitty coach as soon as his name started being circulated for the job. I refuse to be lumped-in with our idiot team ownership.
You basically answered with what I wanted to say. I certainly am not part of the “we”. Maybe op was a gase Stan.
Falk's got to get rid of that ball there. Had enough time. Oops meant this one for the gameday thread.
If he comes now they will probably have to give him everything he asked for and a percentage of ownership.
We got the offensive minded coach everyone said would change the culture of the Jets, moral of this careful what you ask for, especially when it comes to the Jets
"We got the offensive minded coach based on his own claims everyone said would change the culture of the Jets, moral of this careful what you ask for, especially when it comes to the Jets" FIFY
Okay, let's put it to a vote. If Mike McCarthy is still available and wants the job, should the Jets fire Gase and hire McCarthy now?
Some young coach not scared to make offensive plays, McCarthy looked washed up at the end of his Green Bay stint and let's be honest he should have had more rings out of that team.
Honestly I don't give a damn who they get, I just know Gase isn't our guy. 3rd down screens 5 yards behind the LOS. Routes run 3-4 yard short of the sticks. No timing routes or quick hitters to get our offense in a rhythm. When will a Jets coach realize running it up the A gap on first and 10 DOESNT WORK
I am far from a Gase fan but I don't think 0 and 3 warrants a firing. What would warrant a firing and hiring Williams as interim coach would be 0 and 6 and losing the team. I think we are quite far from that point. This is an opportunity for Gase to show some maturity and take some responsibility. Let's see if adversity helps him make progress as a coach or makes him worse.
I mean I don't think 0-3 is worth a firing either, but this offense is abysmal. Yes, I understand we're missing Sam, Herndon, Quincy, etc, but this is really inexcusable at this point. Screens galore 5 yards behind the LOS, routes being run in front of the sticks, no quick hitting timing plays to gain rhythm.
