Bunkley. I really don't know which of the major holes they should fill... but every Giants fan I have talked to either wants a DT or a CB. I figure that since Bunkley is the 2nd best DT and much better value then Youboty, he will be a New York Giant.

    DT Brodrick Bunkley, Florida State.

I can see them taking Bunkley but i can not see them taking a corner in the first. they took Webster in the second round last year and he showed much promise

Chad Jackson. After the 40 he ran today I see him going even higher than this pick and possibly being the first WR off the board, and the Giants could use one more weapon opposite Burress, they have Toomer who's not bad but he's old and after that they have little talent. Youboty would be a decent pick as well because they are going to lose Will Allen and Peterson's always hurt and I think is also a FA. They drafted Webster last year, but do need another corner, unless they love Curtis DeLoach for some strange reason.

Why didn't you vote for him then?

Youboty. Jackson is great and I'd love to see him in a Giants uni, but unless CB is adressed in the FA period, this is the pick I'd make. Allen is on his way out, Peterson can't stay healthy, and DeLoatch is no more than a fringe player.

While Jackson upped his stock a lot, they need a CB

gotta go with Bobo Carpenter. Im not sold on Youboty, i think hes overrated. Carpenter is very good and overshadowed by Hawk. G-Men are thin in linebacking corps. Hopefully, they make a run at Charles Woodson. Youboty wouldnt make much of an impact this year, while Carpenter sure will

I probably should of waited to vote because at this point I would've voted for Youboty...they definetly need a CB, MUCH more than they need a LB and I don't see why Carpenter is winning the poll. I think Jackson would be the better pick, but since it doesn't look like he'll win, I would change to help out Youbody if I could, because that's a much better pick than Carpenter IMO.

Carpenter is one of those guys who is so underrated that he's overrated. All anybody can talk about is how he was overshadowed by Hawk and everybody forgets that he was overshadowed by Hawk for a reason--he's not on the same level as him.

Demeco Ryans is, and the Giants will pick him if he's still on the board.

well, that tends to happen when you have 2 exceptional linebackers. Granted hes not Hawk, but Hawk is top 5 talent, thats why. Carpenter is still 1st rd talent though. Its not like hes all hype and no talent. Harry Carson was great, but LT was better. Peter Boulware was really good, but Ray Lewis was better. Theres nothing wrong with being slighty less talented than an amazing player. Put Carpenter on another college team, and he would be giving Greenway a run for his money as the 2nd LB drafted this year.

The only problem is that Carpenter isn't as good as a Carson or Boulware character. Or Demeco Ryans for that matter. People are just tempted to call him underrated because he is in Hawk's shadow when in reality he's pretty fairly judged.

Wheres the trade down option? I don't really like any of those players for the Giants at 25.

Oh that would get way too complicated... I'm sure there would have been 10 times where trading down won and that just gets way too messed up for a mock like this.
