Mangini is out in Cleveland, Rob is probably able to get out of any remaining committment (esp. if he's not picked to replace Mangini, which appears unlikely as Holmgren wants an "O" coach). If Rob wants to elevate his stature for a head coach, what better way than to work in NY ?
What would he do? In a perfect world Rob would've been a offensive mastermind and with their powers combined they'd become Captain Planet!
Houston would be wise to can Kubiak and get Rob. But they're not wise so they're sticking with Kubiak.
Rob wouldn't make much sense with the Jets. I think Rex needs someone with a slightly different style to bounce ideas off.
You are wrong because before and after the Browns game he stated they put the paperwork in every year to get permission to speak with Rob about getting him.
here's the thing, sounds like a good idea on the surface but why would Rob wanna do that? As much as I'm sure he loves his brother it would not be a good career move. He knows Rex would get all the positives when it comes to the defense as far as the press is concerned, so it wouldn't help elevate his career in anyway. If he doesn't get a head coaching job he needs to go to a team like the Texans, that has a lot of talent with a bad defense. This way if he can ever turn that defense around and get that team into the playoffs it would help him get noticed a lot more.
I'm pretty sure i remember rob saying he wouldn't work under rex. also i heard carolina might be interested
I like the idea of Rob going to Houston. Kubiak is keeping his Jo,but the DC is out. Rob would be a good fit.
