So, I recently realized that Georgia is not playing in the SEC championship. That's all fine and good, but how is that possible if they are in the top 5? Arguably, at least 2 teams are better than them in the SEC alone and yet they are still up there. How is this possible? Does anyone really believe they deserve to be that high? I understand they are a good team and all, but how unprecedented is that. They beat a lot of, at the time, overrated SEC teams and that has significantly inflated their ranking. For example: Alabama was at the time 3-0 and ranked #16 but is now 6-6 and unranked Florida was at the time 5-2 and ranked #11 but is now 9-3 and ranked #10 Auburn was at the time 7-3 and ranked #18 but is now 8-4 and ranked #23 Kentucky was at the time 7-3 and ranked #23 but is now 7-5 and unranked Georgia also lost to a very mediocre 9-3 Tennessee and a terrible 6-6 South Carolina. I realize that they are on a win streak but they also avoided playing LSU and have only one really good win of note with Florida. I just find it remarkable that they snuck themselves up there and no one seems to mind. It is almost as bad as OSU being up there having only beat 7-5 Purdue, 8-4 Michigan, 8-4 Penn State, and 9-3 Wisconsin and lost to their only real competition in Big Ten #2 Illinois. God I hope Mizzou beats Oklahoma so we can see a deserving team play WVU in the championship (you know how much it pains me as a Hokie to say WVU deserves to be in the NC? Ouch!)
Go DAWGS!!!! Yo, we'll make the dance next year. Have you seen Moreno? I'm not to thrilled about his name -- sounds too much like 'Marino', but this kid is awesome.
