It is independent of the government. The Medical Examiner is also "independent." Just how "independent" is it?

You don't get to pick and choose which facts get accepted - the jury does.

What if it was about nine minutes longer? It appears that Mr. Chauvin is just approaching the scene from the left side when the posted video ends.

We will see those nine minutes some day.

    So will the jury.

His toxicology reports showed massive amounts of fentanyl.....opiates suppress respiratory functions...I'm not justifying any actions 9 minutes on someone's neck is obviously insane but those are just facts...I'm interested when medical assistance was called.

The criminality of kneeling on his neck is pretty clear; what isn’t is is that what directly caused his death or one of a multiple of factors?

Absolutely. The question is will the jury be tasked with convicting him for what he did or will they be asked to convict him for something that the evidence may not prove beyond a reasonable doubt?

I believe the EMTs were called prior to him being put in the police car.

His toxicology reports show the presence of 11 nanograms per milliliter of fentanyl, hardly "massive amounts." Here is what appears to be an objective review of the toxicology including what should be expected of a patient with that drug load.

The jury will be asked by the prosecution to convict; they will be asked by the defense to acquit. Both will provide testimony and evidence to prove their point and disprove that of the other.

They will then be tasked by the judge with considering all the evidence and convicting or acquitting based on that evidence.

No, the defense doesn’t have to disprove anything, merely cast reasonable doubt on the prosecutor’s claims. But the prosecution has to make very specific charges, and then prove, with evidence, that those charges warrant a conviction.

You are correct; the defense does not have to prove anything or disprove anything - they have the presumption of innocence. That said, they damn well better disprove what the autopsy reports, expert testimony, video evidence, hospital reports and eyewitness reports show or they might as well just plead guilty.

In sacrificing nine minutes to watch this at least I didn't end up dead in the same time. I should have quit after the ex-cop claimed falsely that Floyd had taken a lethal dose of fentanyl when I had seen the video I posted above wherein a medical doctor showed why Floyd's dose of fentanyl was not fatal. It went downhill from there.

    ANSWERS:

July 7th (LINK) - "The only reason you think he's not agitated is because the prosecutors are hiding the body camera footage."

July 9th (LINK) - "Of course they were. That he was resisting arrest is not even in dispute. He refused to get in the squad car and then made such a mess inside the squad car that they felt it was necessary to pull him back out of the car until the EMTs showed up. It's why they won't release the officer body camera footage."

If nothing else, he’s uncooperative, evasive and non compliant. Didn’t warrant a summary death sentence, and nothing excuses the abuse he took, but you just cannot act like that with cops and not expect something bad will result.

Do you think Treyvon Martin deserved to die at the hands of Zimmerman?

    What about Eric Garner?

Well he was either having respiratory failure due to substances or a heart attack and no one is trying to obsolve the officer the question is what's the right charge and was this race based....clearly not race based and it's looking more like manslaughter then 2nd degree imo.
