I really look back at that game and think, what happened? He looked really good on the first 4 drives and the offense really executed well and ever since that point Geno has been awful as well as the rest of the offense minus Ivory and Decker. I have no idea why he can't perform like that again. He has all the physical tools i.e. arm strength, mobility (I know that does not mean pocket presence), tall enough and he seems intelligent. I am at loss here.

Ever since Geno threw that INT before the half in the GB game it's been a complete nosedive, for Geno, the offense, and the team.

I don't have an explanation for it.

I think it has to do with pressure. If Geno has good protection and we are running the ball effectively, he can look really good. He makes accurate throws, find open guys, and throws the ball away if nothing is available, or takes off for a run. But when we don't run it well, and Geno has to make throws under pressure, he becomes a completely different QB. Suddenly he starts missing easy throws to wide open guys and throwing the ball into tightly covered areas.

Now, to be fair, this is true for many quarterbacks. Not everyone is like Roethlesberger or Wilson or Rodgers, where they just calmly move around and do their thing. Even really successful qbs like Brady and Peyton Manning can look rattled under pressure. But the problem with Geno is, when Brady is rattled, his play goes from all time great to average NFL QB, when Geno is rattled, his play goes from decent/average NFL QB to all time terrible QB.

I think every QB gets into trouble when facing real pressure. Brady looked pretty pathetic against KC this year, and we have certainly given him and a lot of QBs trouble over the last few years.

My issue is, Geno doesn't show command of the offense. He makes mistakes, throws bad balls, gets flustered in the pocket. Game after game after game. He's supposedly the best QB in his draft; when has he played a _great_ game, or even a _very good_ game? Which game did we win because of him? When did we play a game where you can really say "Without Geno we would have lost", or "Boy, Geno really dominated the opposition today".

There's no upside, and what looks like tremendous downside here. I'm not pulling for Vick, it's no use playing him and he has really disappointed me with his lack of preparedness and professionalism (he's the guy who should really be cut, if you ask me. You're paid millions of dollars to sit on the bench and be prepared; you can't be prepared in two consecutive games?). But we need a new QB next year, and high in the draft.

I said to myself after that game, although it sounds crazy being it was really early in the season I truly felt that was a really tough game to come back from, being that we completely fell apart after dominating.
