i know he really is amazing. its a shame nobodys gonna take a chance on him, hes just to small for the nfl... i think 5-7, 170, nonetheless though he is a tremendous talent.

Even with Leon Washington around? That would make a small and smaller RB, with not too many carries to go around.

Wayyyyyyy too small for the NFL. Think of Martin Gramatica as a runningback... They are only 7 lbs difference.

Darren Sproles had a similar career (if not worse) and found his niche.

Sproles has like 30 total yards if you take away all of his kick returns. Other than that he catches short passes and goes down. Why draft a player for that?

Just out of curiosity, How big is Marshall Faulk. Does he touch 200 lbs?

Yeah he's wayyyyy too small for the NFL. Unless he can put on some major weight he would get crushed.

So, he is 35 pounds less than Faulk and four inches shorter. I love his skill set. It is going to be very interesting to see how he translates to the NFL.

5'9" > 5'7" and I am guessing 180 isn't a fair representation of his weight although I submit that he does not approach 200.

He's very compact though. People look at weight and automatically think that players are too small. He's 5'7", and he runs low to the ground, not to mention he can cut on a dime. Wolfe is a playmaker in all aspects of the word, whether or not you want to acknowledge that because he's not the 6'3", 250 lbs. bruiser a Michael Bush is. Fact is, if you play football you'll know this. The lower a player is to the ground, the hardest it is to tackle, because he gets his shoulders first. If you have the 1-10 acceleration Wolfe has, that makes him just as good as your big runningbacks.

As far as stamina goes, he probably won't be running faster and harder come the fourth quarterback, but he will make a very good receiving back, and changeup back.

So are you saying Sproles isn't in the NFL?

I'm not saying he is going to be a starting RB and be a hall of fame player nor am I suggesting anyone draft him in the first round, but as far as I am concerned, Darren Sproles plays a significant role in this league and is a valued player on the San Diego Chargers and thus, I think there is a place for Garrett Wolfe in the NFL. Unlike you who have already written him off.

P.S. GM I'm on your side, but just pointing out the obvious.

He would be an effective role playing back..15 carries a game plus a few pass plays...

A little like NO is using Reggie Bush now.

Warrick Dunn definetly has more muscle than Wolfe. They might be close in size but Dunn is without a doubt bigger. Wolfe looks so skinny, it would seem that in the NFL he would get slammed everytime he touches the ball.

When did I say he wasn't in the NFL? Sproles has a super limited role in the NFL. Basically a waste of a roster spot for a kick return guy when you consider the fact he doesn't produce much of anything on offense. As opposed to taking guys like Leon Washington that can produce all over the field.
