I was waiting for MLF, to finally do some quick plays to help Zach. Kudos to MLF for finally getting it. But, this pasted together OL, what a job protecting Zack, & following the script in the 4th qtr, pounding the Bills. A game ball squared has to go to the OL. Honorable mention, to Zach, James Robinson, Michael Carter, & the entire D for playing opportunistic, mistake-free D.
Its unbelievable what they've done with 2nd and 3rd stringers - guys we never even heard of in August patching up this O-Line. JD deserves knighthood just for that. 'patching up" isn't even accurate. It's entirely different.
OL played really it seems like this week. Great to see and have 2 weeks until the next game. This might mean we might see Mitchell and Fant back soon? Sent from my M2007J20CG using Tapatalk
I've been told its easier to run block than pass block. I guess that's because you have to maintain contact longer in pass pro. Today, we committed to the run and by the end of the game, the Buffalo D was gassed. Its a formula that will take us to the Post Season IF MLF commits to this. My biggest concerned is the return of Air LeFleur. Zach is not the right qb for that at this point in his career.
Huge kudos to the entire OL. Honestly, I thought after all the injuries that they wouldn't be capable of such a feat. It solidifies the thought process that especially after the bye and getting Fant and Mitchell back we can cruise into the playoffs....
Gashing them with the run on the last drive was like ecstasy. Bills D looked stunned and legit defeated.
The difference in Zach Wilson today was him staying in the pocket. The difference behind that difference was the play of the OL.
Clearly they hammered into Zach's head "snap, one, two, release". That's exactly what he needs to be doing. It will, however limit ball distribution because Garrett was the first read so often. Teams will eventually counter that, so it's up to MLF to move that first option around to involve others players.
Herbig, how 'bout that guy. There's something really funny about that name, I just haven't figured it out yet.
