Studs Echols - gets the top billing here.g ood coverage all day and the pick 6 which was just textbook coverage and making a play Hall - also had a great day in coverage and run support. Did get beat for that 1 TD but outside of that did really well Zach - didn't get much help at all. with moore and davis out nobody was getting open. The o-line was bad due to fant being out and mcdermott just being bad. he was fighting though and making more plays with his legs and was really elusive in the pocket Mike Lafluer - did a great job manufacturing offense without much talent due to injuries. his call on 3rd and long with the slant to crowder then a lateral to berrios was great. also the berrios TD was an option play where berrios was looking to throw but it wasn't there so he just ran it in. Coleman - actually showed some good burst today and made some big runs. averaged 6.3 YPC Duds Entire Run Defense - it was bad, we couldn't stop the 31st ranked run offense with a 3rd string RB at all. We just couldn't tackle Mcdermott - yeah he's our 5th string OT and only playing due to injures to becton, fant, and edoga but he was awful Mims - perfect opportunity for him to showcase himself and was bad yet again.
The OL being so f'n bad screwed up anyone else on the O getting a stud status. The TE's played pretty well in the first half, then poof, they were gone.
Think about that statement... LOL. I mean the dude is a player but dam, IMHO he is our most consistent O player and thast includes ZW.
Hard to call Zach a stud when he had the lowest depths of throws the entire week of any QB. They scaled him back so much, he’s like a poor mans Pennington. The one shot he took, he airmailed it 20 yards over anyone’s head without giving Mims even a chance to win a ball over a smaller DB.
Everything has to be underneath to RBs and TEs when your WRs are covered like white on rice. Cole and Mims are horrendous, especially Mims.
What I like about Berrios is he leaves it all on the field. The guy plays every down like its going to decide the game. On another note we have achieved an amazing, perhaps historic, turnaround. Over this season our offense went from being ass in the fist quarter and looking good in the 2nd half, to looking good in the first quarter and being ass in the 2nd half. Not sure I've ever seen a turnaround like that before.
Not really trying to argue or defend anyone with an excuse. Just providing context as to why is average depth of target was low.
Wilson not being the issue and having a bad supporting cast around him doesn’t make him a stud. He completed 13 passes for 175 yards and maneuvered the offense to 17 points, 0 in the second half. What a reach.
It was worse than that honestly. 1st drive good. 7 pts The defense essentially put up 10 of the 24 with the pick 6 and the other interception that was already in FG range. Other than that there was 1 single drive where the Jets offense scored. 75 yard drive, 20 of the yards came via penalty, 25 via the run game, and Wilson completed only 2 passes the whole drive - 1 of them in that fluky play to Griffin. And that was it for the entire game. How is that a "stud" performance? Its not.
The bar must be set so low for this team that folks take a game like that and call it a stud performance. I don’t fully blame Zach for the loss in any way just can’t see him being a stud for this game. I agree with his other choices though.
