This is how Fox Sports has our O-Line right now: Starting Offensive Line: LT Adrian Jones LG Steve Morley C Pete Kendall RG Brandon Moore RT Marko Cavka Boy I am glad Free Agency isn't over and that the draft is coming up. If this was our opening day line-up I would be worried. Hopefully we draft some talented offensive lineman this April.
wow, if that is our starting o-line by week 1, we should all be worried... this draft needs to fill a couple big holes for us....
I've been sayin it since the start of the offseason. We need o-line help!! I think all THREE of our first 3 picks should be used on o-lineman.
LT- Adrian Jones LG- Pete Kendall C-- Nick Mangold RG- Brandon Moore RT- Ryan O'Callaghan (might see him at guard)
Man if I am Penny I would be shitting myself right now if we go into the season with this line...or making sure my will was in-line..
Marcus McNeil or Winston Justice solves the RT problem (Cavka provides depth). After that, we really only need 1 more guy: could be Mangold, Jean-Gilles, or Scott. Unless there is a big talent discrepancy among these three, I don't think this is much of a problem, and I don't think we need to spend 3 out of our first 4 picks on OL. Good thing we kept Kendall because he gives us some flexibility since he can play C or OG. and I think Moore can play on an improved OL, which we'll have come June. If anything, Moore should start one more year (he's young and decent) and if he doesn't perform well, then we replace him next year. I pretty much made my point in the most roundabout way possible: we don't have to stock up the entire OL with Pro-Bowlers in this one Offseason. I think Jones can start and Moore can start with a better cast around them; which we'll acquire by August. cheers
Not too bad, not sure how many people are going to get it but it got me laughing. I agree with the majority that this is what I am hoping for minus the D Brick pick. I have never been a fan of Jones at all, in fact I probobly one of his biggest haters on the board however this draft is deep enough at O line as we all know. Also, as stupid as it sounds I want a sexier pick with the four spot. There are so many high profile guys in the top ten this year I want one that is going to show up on the stat sheets (mainly because I feel we can fill our OL needs later on). Mario Williams is the guy I want right now and I dont see that changing at all. Nothing wrong with this guy, I havent heard a single knock on him yet.
I think our #1 priority should be the O-Line. If we spend 3 of our first 4 picks on O-Line I would not be upset.
I probably wouldn't be upset either. i just don't think it's completely necessary to use 3/4 of those picks on OL. if we're passing up on very good talent - or playmakers - early on, i'd be a little ticked because OL doesn't have to be totally fixed this year; one of the positions can be left until next year. cheers
