Drew Hill, a kick returner and wide receiver who played five seasons for the Los Angeles Rams before becoming part of the Houston Oilers' famed "Run and Shoot" offense of the 1980s, fell ill on a golf course Thursday and died late Friday after suffering two massive strokes. He was 54. Hill, a two-time Pro Bowler who also played for the Atlanta Falcons, had 634 catches for 9,831 yards and 60 touchdowns during his 15-year career, which ended in 1993.
RIP Drew Hill. I actually enjoyed the run and shoot, it was fun to watch for those that enjoy the passing game.
Hill played in the final game of the 1970s and the final game of the 1980s. In the final game of the 1980s he played against someone who played in the first game of the 1980s.
Dam... sad. I loved watching the Run and Shoot. Everytime I hear the crappy R&B group I feel like they stole their name from him.
