I'm a New Yorker now living in Houston as some of you know... so I of course HAVE TO get the NFL package every year. If you order the super fan package (it was free this week) you get the team shortcuts. Watching the shortcut of the game in 30 minutes was great. When was the last time Chad through that many long passes?? He really looked great, but the running game needs help - lets give Leon a shot huh? I went to the KC game last year with SUPER BOWL in mind... so what a horror!! This year I went into the season expecting a bad season and they looked great - what a difference!
usually the replays are shortened but moreso like an hour. and you have to wait a week or more to see your teams replay. basically its the same replays theyve done scaled down into 30 mins each and I guess they replay every game more frequently on whatever the designated superfan channel is.
Shortcuts is the game condensed down to 30 minutes. Huddles, instant replays and timeouts are all cut out, so it's just the plays. It's a pretty way cool to watch the game for a second time. The Super Fan package costs an extra $100. Too much for it to be worth it for me. The regular NFL Sunday Ticket is amazing, I couldn't live without it, especially being a Jets fan living in Virginia.
Directv takes every game on Sunday and edits it into 30 min. They take out commercials, slack time between plays, half time etc. As soon as a play os over it cuts right to the next play. Pretty cool replay... I believe its an extra $99 bucks...
Wow pretty nice- sort of what I am able to accomplish with the poor man's replay on my DVR, though I tend to shoot over plays and then rewind, trying to find the sweet spot.
They take out ALL the stuff between plays, commercials, everything except for Ref penalty calls. Basically, ball carrier is tackled, and all of a sudden, team is back at the line running the next play. If you watch a colts game, the 20 seconds of Manning audibles are reduced to about 2 seconds. the games take about 26-28 minutes to watch depending on the game. It's actually quite a cool way to catch the other games. Superfan will also put these games onto your DVR if you have one (I do not).
I got the Super Fan package as well. The shortcuts version is pretty awesome. It only takes up 30 minutes of your time to watch the whole game again.
I think they show the shortcuts thru noon today? I think midnight tuesday morning - today sometime? I think NFL rules only allow that.
I like the stat tracker that was on Direct TV this week for fantasy football - it allowed you to track 9 players, and alerted you when they had a play -
Thats what i always do and it sucks because you think you stopped in perfectly but then when you play all of a sudden the other team has the ball and you have to rewind all the way to find out where you were
