Not one person from ESPN picks us to go to the SB. The popular pick in the AFC seems to be the Ravens. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview10/news/story?id=5493278
We go through this every year. The media picks the dolphags to finish ahead of us. FCOL we won 9 games last year with a Rookie QB that gave away three all on his own, and then added a half dozen pro bowl caliber players on both sides of the ball.
Why should they be picked. They looked ordinary at best all pre-season, their best player his holding out and their QB is a question mark.
I found some on nfl.com. Just brilliant observations! http://www.nfl.com/kickoff/story/09000d5d812296e0/article/with-high-expectations-jets-will-try-to-live-up-to-hype I've got no problem not liking the Jets. The reasons are just too funny. A lot of big names but not in their primes? LOL. Ok, LT and JT not in primes, true. But they're not our best players. The other one is even better. Too many distractions to be consistent! And I can see why you wouldn't pick the Jets, I'm not arguing that. The reasoning is just too funny.
Until Jets own the AFCE for 10 straight years or something (maybe still then) these people won't consider Jets seriously.
Geez, look at all the Ryan Matthews love. I didn't follow his preseason. Did he do something magical that I just never read about?
Matthews has looked ok from what I have seen ... the more I watch Spiller, the more nervous I get about opening day.
Kevin Seifer of ESPNdotcom predicts Darrelle Revis as defensive MVP. Coooool. Can you win one of those sitting on your ass in Aliquippa?
That's an idiotic statement. Last year's pre-season had more issues than this pre-season and we still started 3 and 0, and we went to the championship game. Pre-season is no indicator of what the team's record is going to be.
