ESPN the Magazine has a chart this week that lists each team's number of current starters drafted by that team since 2000- e.g the number of current Jet starters drafted by the Jets since s 2000. The Jets LED the NFL with 15.
yeah, and why is it we are trying hard to find someone to either replace, or help that starter (besides Jonathan Vilma)
lets not forget that since 2000 i dont think there is a team who has had more 1st rd picks than the jets.
Im with the guy who posted this-the entire core of our team is from draft picks-Chad Pennington, Sean Eliss, Abraham(last couple years), Moss/Coles, Vilma, Coleman, Miller etc. Maybe we havent treated our draft picks well, by trading them away of letting them go through free agency, but every year we draft quality players
That's a bad Stat. Not a good one. It means that we Sucked before and we still suck. Our FO sucked and our players sucked. So, Bashing the FO was the correct thing to do.
ever since 2000, our total record is 48-48. So I wouldn't say we suck, just middle of the pack. Except for a few good years where we went 10-6.
That could be because the Jets needed help at a lot of differrent positions. Having said that, I can't understand why Hugh Douglas and Farrior were let go. It couldn't be because we could not afford them, when you look at the all the big contracts that were sprayed around, from Vinny to Martin,Chrebet, Marvin Jones, Mo Lewis etc...
