Miami today reminded me of one of my biggest pet peeves. One thing that annoys me to no end is well after a play is blown dead, a defensive player will grab the ball and start running it towards the endzone as if it was a turnover, then acts all surprised when it's not. Like you ripped the ball out of the guy's hands five yards out of bounds. Why do you possibly think that it could ever be considered a live ball? I really wish they'd just flag it as unsportsmanlike conduct and put an end to it. Or delay of game at the least.

What dumb shit that happens on a weekly basis pisses you off?

It doesn't happen on a weekly basis but when the Jets lose it sure pisses me off.

1 Commercials...they should to play a football game between all the commercials
2 Officiating was disgraceful today, so many bad PI penalties for huge yardage, that singlehandedly kept the Shitfins in the game (that and the worst punter in the NFL)

PI is getting out of hand. They need to change the penalty to 15 yards or they need to enforce the catchable part of the rule.

At least a few of them were 5 yard holding penalties, not 35 yard PI's

Officials constantly having a 5 minute conference to announce the most obvious calls. I know they have to make sure they get it right, but damn they can take forever to announce the simplest infractions.

My biggest complaint about today's NFL, by far, is the number of penalties being called on a weekly basis.

    TOO

    MANY

    FLAGS

If you think that through, you will realize that a 15 yard penalty for PI would be one of the worst things that could happen to the NFL. On a play 40 yards down field, why wouldn't a DB drag the receiver down every time...I'd certainly give up 15 yds to save 25 every time

I kinda get it but that doesn't happen in college. Maybe attach a fine to players who do it? That or they need to clean up the rule somehow.

Stop the hand fighting. Once you allow it you bring the slippery slope of subjectivity into play when it comes to calling pass interference (off. or def.).

Also it used to be that if you didn't play the ball and had your back to the QB a la Kyle Wilson you'd often get called for face guarding.

People who don't know the rules of football then bitch about calls in the game thread. Or worse, post videos on YouTube.

The average NFL game is almost 4 hours long and has about 20 minutes of game action. And college is worse.... They should improve the flow of the game.

Rex Ryan in general is offensive to me....

I'd love to see a penalty for doing that lol.

But I'm serious. Every single incompletion and the diva WRs are reaching for their imaginary flag in their imaginary pocket and tossing it in the air.

    Hate it.

It's the equivalent to flopping in soccer. Pathetic.

+1 for your suggestion of a penalty. If they can call Unsportmanlike Conduct for someone celebrating a great play like a TD, they should flag the whiners as well.
