that's the SEC for ya. They put Duke's Mayo in everything. I actually knew it was a substitute for milk because I visited some family in Tennessee once and they made a fruit salad. Instead of whipped cream in the fruit salad they used mayo. Barf

Waldorf salad is actually pretty famous, it's a "salad" that contains primarily fruit, nuts and mayo as the binding ingredient. I personally don't like it but find it far from unusual, I've seen it around since I was a kid but I did grow up in MD/VA so we are technically "southern".

I don't see mayo in the ingredients. They mention possibly using homemade Cool Whip but admit to not know how well that would work. I like how sour cream and brown sugar work together on strawberries, that shit is good.
