Lots of areas could be improved. OL, CB, LB, in particular. I think he’ll find a couple contributors when all is said and done.
We can only hope. I still say this team is a year away from the playoffs. I'm a realist. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Nice to finally have a GM who's got a plan and always looking for ways to improve the team. Breath of fresh air.
It will be interesting to see Joe Douglas's approach in a draft like Idzik had when we have like 12 picks! It's been a while since we were ahead of the game with draft picks--reason being is we hardly ever have an abundance of talent to trade or get compensated for that sign as FA's. I would rather keep our picks and trade for picks and let Douglas use his drafting skills to restock our cupboards.
I don't think we've ever had a GM in our history with as much familiarity with winning programs as Joe Douglas.
A lot of Eagles fans I know were sorry to see him go. They all told me the same thing. He is really good at finding talent from the third round and later in the draft. Hope it's true. Sent from my SM-G965U using Tapatalk
Well I assume that he values drafting talent early for the oline. Mac's plan specifically called for trusting there to be talented ol available late. That's not very appealing. Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk
Goddammit I demand a specialized pick selector for each round! I want my 5th round guy concentrating 24/7 for 12 months on the 5th round and 5th round alone. He shouldn’t even know the names of the top players. That’s just wasted energy. And the moment the 5th round is over, he doesn’t even watch the 6th round. The 6th round is nothing to him! The 6th round is about as relevant to this guy’s job as the flossing habits of a Ugandan bank teller. He gets a ten-minute. coffee break and then he starts focusing on next year’s 5th round pick. Make ‘er happen, Tanny.
