That's probably part of the problem for individual cases but certainly more effort needs to be put into the interstate trade of illegal weapons. Vast sweeping generalizations, particularly those that absolve any sector of blame are simply passing the buck and do not serve the public. I doubt very much that a guy caught in the act of moving weapons between states is getting released without bail.
I am asking a question because I go honestly don't know the answer. Would trafficking of guns between states be a federal issue i.e. ATF?
I understand what your saying. What I am saying is go talk to any cop. They will consistently tell you its the court system
Of course they will - that's the easy answer that gets them off the hook. Unfortunately, complicated problems don't have easy answers.
DA's usually plea down the gun charges in order to get a conviction of other charges. Except if you are Plaxico Burress. That dude got fucked.

Given today's zeitgeist, fingers crossed, thoughts & prayers and good luck... PS: pack an 'overnight' tent jjust in case . . : )
Sowwy.. but only domestic mass shootings count. Refer to the NRA Mass Shooting Manual, Chapter 5, Sec 3A.
They got him. Eyewitness footage captures the moment the 22-year-old person of interest in the Highland Park, Illinois, mass shooting that left at least six people dead was taken into custody. https://t.co/o47sHDmjp6 pic.twitter.com/omLOOxsj0a— ABC News (@ABC) July 5, 2022
They say they ID'd this fuckstick through DNA. That was pretty quick. In Uvalde... they'd still be looking for keys...
Yea, anytime you cross state lines or the crime is online, it’s a federal crime. The reason the police in NC don’t care about guns being shipped to NYC is bc it’s interstate ie the FEDs and secondly it’s probably not illegal to ship guns in NC so why would the thought of an investigation cross their minds?
