    (From ProFootballTalk)

If the Browns could land McFadden and some other picks man would they be looking good next year if Quinn can play solid.

If they use draft picks on Anderson, the rest of the team will still suck and he'll suck by proxy.

The Browns need help on DEFENSE!!! not offense. Granted McFadden would make them the number 1 offense in the league instead of just number 2. But how does that help them?

If The Browns are smart they will invest heavily into the defensive side of the ball.

Also I don't think that many teams are ready to just blindly trust Derek Anderson. This was his first good year and one good year doesn't suddenly make you worth a 1st AND 3rd round pick.

That would be STUPID of the Dolphins to do when they could just theoreticallly draft the best QB with the top pick anyways....

A trade like that would make them look even worse than their soon to be 1-15 season does.

Trading the first overall pick in the draft for a single season wonder when 9 months earlier they wasted a 2nd round pick on a QB?

If the Phins are to get better, Parcells is going to need a longer stay than his average 3 - 4 year hotel reservation provides.

How would McFadden make the Browns the #1 offense in the league with Brady Quinn at QB?

Dominant O-line + Kickass TE + Kickass WR + Kickass RB = Easy for yonug QB

I hope the Phins go after Anderson. The guy is living off of good coaching, Winslow, Edwards, and that O-line.

Cleveland has to be very careful. They could easily go the way of this year's Jets team. They benefitted from a rather easy schedule. Their issues are similar to those of the Jets. Their 3-4 is completely lacking in playmakers. They benefitted from a season where both the Bengals and Ravens were down. That's not likely to happen again.

I think they should do what the Chargers did with Brees. I would keep Anderson for one more year and load up on defensive players and try to make a run. All they really need on the offensive side of the ball is someone to complement Braylon Edwards, and maybe a scatback to keep teams honest.

Wimbley, Jones, Bodden, Wright, and Pool are a nice young nucleus to have.

Plus, with that offense they have a shot at contending.

They fix their DL this offseason and they'll contend again.

With all the offensive talent they have, it may be worth a shot to trade Anderson for draft picks if the right offer comes along. That would certainly help with their defense. I think they could contend with Quinn, and I've never been all that high on him.

Ben Roethlisberger went 14-1 his rookie year because he was surrounded by people on offense that lessened his burden. Brady Quinn would be throwing to Braylan Edwards, Kellen Winslow, whatever RB they draft high, while being protected by an offensive line anchored by Joe Thomas.

There's a lot of similarities there. Granted they wouldn't take over number one if Randy Moss resigns with the Patriots...

You could put Manning or Brady to run our offense and we would still suck. God I hope they don't do this. I thought the whole trading away picks for QBs was done with the old regime. I just wish our fans would accept the fact that we are probably going to get hosed for the next 3-4 years, and no quick-fix trade is going to change that. Build through the draft!
