About a half hour until game time, an hour or so until his first official pitch in the Majors. Any predictions?

    I say 7 IP, 3 R, 1 BB, 9 K.

    8 IP, 2 ER, 3 BB, 6K.

In all honesty, I don't care how he pitches, as long as the Sox lose. Sorry devil, but I'm still a Yankee fan

At first I was thinking along those lines, but this is the Royals. Opening Day was a fluke.

I'm torn because I stole him from our resident Red Sox fan at work so I want to see him kick ass but I also have Ryan Shealy and New Jersey's own David Dejesus on the same 26 man roster.

The guy obviously has incredible stuff, I just think it's only a matter of time until he goes Pedro's route and develops a deadarm with all his breaking stuff and the fact that his wrist snaps are so sharp.

I think Zach Greinke is way more interesting than Matsuzaka, personally. That guy is, or at least was, completely nuts.

No he isn't. Matsuzaka is now through 4, 1 hit, 1 walk, 5 Ks. 10 straight retired.

    Code:
    Boston
IP H R ER BB K HR Season ERA
    D. Matsuzaka 5.2 6 1 1	1 7 1 0.00

    Code:
     Kansas City
IP H R ER BB K HR Season ERA
    Z. Greinke 6.0 7 2 1 1 7 0 1.50
Is Greinke as good as Dice?

After all, Boston's lineup is MUCH better than KC.

Looks like he wore out after 4. Everybody is starting to get good swings against him now although they still have scored only 1 run. maybe it's that old 3rd time through the order thing. I expect a lot of that this year with him.

Or they did for one inning anyway.
