    1-IND- Andrew Luck, QB, Stanford

    ---

    2-WAS- RG3, QB, Baylor

    ---

    3-MIN- Matt Kalil, OT, USC

Decent chance that the Vikings trade out of this spot, but I think Tampa will ultimately stay at 5- where Blackmon, Richardson, or Claiborne will be available. Kalil would be a great pick for MIN, giving their young QB and (injured) star RB more protection.

    4-CLE- Trent Richardson, RB, Alabama

Cleveland might think about Claiborne here, but Richardson has to be the pick here if he's still available.

    5-TB- Mo Claiborne, CB, LSU

Cornerback is a huge need, and Claiborne is an elite prospect… despite his alarmingly low wonderlic score. He should fit in nicely in the city of Tampa.

6-STL- Justin Blackmon, WR, Oklahoma State

This pick should be automatic, even if they love Fletcher Cox. Blackmon's a stud and Bradford needs help badly. They can get a solid DT in the second round.

7-JAC- Fletcher Cox, DT, Mississippi State

This is where it gets interesting. Shefter says that Ingram won't go in the top 10, and that dude is everywhere, so I won't question him. Cox is shooting up draft boards and is a better pass rusher than most DEs and OLBs in this draft.

8-MIA- Ryan Tannehill, QB, Texas A&M

This should be the pick that finally gets Ireland fired… except it won't be. It actually sounds like this will be the pick that gets him fired if he doesn't pick Tannehill.

9-DAL(from CAR)- Mark Barron, SS, Alabama

Dallas receives #9 from Carolina (1,350 pts according to trade value charts) in exchange for #14 (1,100 pts), #81 (185 pts), and #113 (68 pts). Dallas needs help in the secondary, and Barron is near the top of JJ's wish list. My guess is that he won't wait for him to fall to #14.

    10-BUF- Luke Kuechly, LB, BC

With Barron off of the board the Bills consider Kirkpatrick and Gilmore- but ultimately go with the BPA.

    11-KC- David DeCastro, G, Stanford

I've had a gut feeling all along that DD would go be gone before our pick and I'm not changing that now. KC could use a stud interior lineman like DeCastro to stabilize their offense.

12-SEA- Quinton Coples, DE, North Carolina

A lot of people are saying that the Seahawks really like Coples. If they're willing to ignore the fact that he legitimately might not care about football, he could likely be the pick here.

13-ARI- Melvin Ingram, DE, USC East

Floyd is really tempting here- but Arizona needs help on D, and already used their second round pick on Kevin Kolb. Ingram makes a lot of sense.

14-CAR (from DAL)- Stephon Gilmore, CB, South Carolina

Carolina rushes to the podium for this one, since they are reportedly considering Gilmore at #9. That defense was pretty terrible last year, so this would be a great pick.

    15-PHI- Dre Kirkpatrick, CB, Alabama

Gilmore and Barron (as well as Cox and Coples) are off of the board, so Philly takes the next best DB in Dre Kirkpatrick. DRC is probably gone after next season, so Kirkpatrick would have a year to be groomed for the #2 CB spot (or maybe S?).

16-CLE (from NYJ)- Michael Floyd, WR, Notre Dame

As much as I love Floyd, this is the right move if the chips fall this way. Someone will definitely be trying to move up and get him by this point, and Cleveland has some picks to spare. Who knows, maybe Floyd will punch one of Kyrie Irving's boys and then we can get him for pennies on the dollar via trade. Cleveland receives #16 (1,000 pts) and #154 (29.8) for #22 (780) and #67 (255)

    17-CIN- Riley Reiff, OL, Iowa

Every year one or two top prospects fall out of the first 15 due to teams reaching for need. With Reiff still on the board, Cincy pulls the trigger.

    18-SD- Chandler Jones, DE, Syracuse

SD is under a lot of pressure by fans to find a pass rusher. Jones is arguably the best one available… or at least has the best bloodline. He could be the stud pass rusher they've been missing since SM left town/stopped taking roids.

    19-CHI- Michael Brockers, DT/DE, LSU

After the Marshall trade, Chicago should spend this pick on defense. Brockers fills a need, and is one of the best players available.

    20-TEN- Dontari Poe, DT, Memphis

You know someone is probably gonna take this guy in the top 20. With Brockers off of the board, the Titans roll the dice.

    21-CIN- Courtney Upshaw, DE, Alabama

Marvin Lewis is a big fan of Upshaw, so there is little chance Upshaw makes it to the Jets' pick at 22 in this scenario.

    22-NYJ- Whitney Mercilus, DE, Illinois

People will probably be wary of this pick after the Ghost, but personally, I see more of a likeness to JPP. Since that is exactly the kind of bull rushing beast we are missing, Tanny pulls the trigger. I'm not as high on Hightower as a lot of people are on here… I think he'll be a great player, but other players have higher ceilings and/or fit our needs better IMO.

    23-DET- Cordy Glenn, OL, Georgia

Detroit needs to improve their line and Glenn is probably the BPA, anyways.

    24-PIT- Dont'a Hightower, LB, Alabama

Pitt loves Hightower, and it's easy to see why. He'll be the pick here if he's still available.

    25-DEN- Kendall Wright, WR, Baylor

They got their QB, now it's time to give him some weapons. They'll have to find a DT in the second round.

    26-HOU- Nick Perry, DE, USC

They need to replace Williams, and Perry is arguably the BPA at that need.

27-NE- Harrison Smith, S, Notre Dame

This pains me as a Notre Dame fan, but I really doubt the Pats risk Smith falling to the Packers at #28.

28-GB- Shea McClellin, DE/OLB, Boise State

With Smith off of the board, the Packers turn their attention to Shea, who they apparently are really high on.

    29-BAL- Peter Konz, C/OL, Wisconsin

Seems like everyone is mocking this pick. Baltimore needs help on their line and Konz could well be the solution.

30-SF- Stephen Hill, WR, Georgia Tech

Another popular pick. Very risky, but SF is willing to take that chance at the end of the 1st.

31- IND (from NE)- Coby Fleener, TE, Stanford

This would be pretty cool to see, and it's definitely not out of the question. The Giants will very likely be looking at Fleener @ #32, so Indy sneaks ahead of them to reunite their franchise QB with an old friend. Indy receives #31 (600) for #34 (560) and #136 (38)

    32-NYG- Alfonzo Dennard, CB, Nebraska

Because it would be awesome, that's why.

NYJ Rd 2 (47)- Doug Martin, RB, Boise State

If he is still there at 47 (which he probably won't be) there should be no hesitation. Martin would be an amazing fit in this offense, and I'm not sure if SG is the #1 running back that he are looking for. If Martin is gone, other possible picks are Jeffery and David Wilson.

NYJ Rd 3 (67, from CLE)- Brian Quick, WR, Appalachian State

I love Quick as a prospect, and I think he'll be the top receiver available if the Jets wait until the third round to go that route. He's a willing blocker with a big, athletic frame and excellent body control. His scouting report reads very similar to that of Michael Floyd. The only difference is that he didn't play at ND.

NYJ Rd 3 (77)- Brandon Mosley, OL, Auburn

This might be a bit of a reach, but Mosley is an intriguing prospect, to say the least. He has a decent frame and great athleticism for a big man. The former TE could also be used as the long-cherished blocking TE we have been lacking.

Whitney Mercilus is a one hit wonder, I think they learned a valuable lesson from the Ghost in that situation. No way do the Jets pick him up I think - if he were that good he would be getting PT his earlier years in college

I was in the same boat, but I've changed my opinion recently after watching some tape. He had success against some really solid O-Lineman... without any real stand-out teammates to take the pressure off of him. He's a hard worker, too, unlike he-who-shall-not-be-named.
