    01. RAIDERS - Calvin Johnson, WR, Georgia Tech
    - Eh, I think they should go with the QB. They need a QB to throw the ball to their already decent WRs someday.

    04. BUCCANEERS - Adrian Peterson, RB, Oklahoma
    - Interesting... I've seen Peterson projected at #3,#5,#7,#8,#10,#11 and #12... Now add #4 to that list... They will opt for DL help first with Gaines Adams or Amobi Okoye first...

    16. PACKERS - Marshawn Lynch, RB, California
    - I'm not sold on this pick...

    23. CHIEFS - Ben Grubbs, OG, Auburn
    - Is this wishful thinking that they take Grubbs over Blalock? :grin:

    30. CHARGERS - Paul Posluszny, ILB, Penn State
    - Seems a bit late for him...

    Overall, this was a good read and solid job.

    I have a couple questions for you...
    - In my next mock, which will be out Thursday or Friday, Marshawn Lynch will not be a Packer. He MIGHT be a Titan, but if not, what are the chances that he falls to the Vikings at #41? Is that realistic to you?

    - I am dead split on the Jets taking Justin Blalock or Anthony Spencer. Blalock could shore up the line, but will the Jets go for another offensive lineman or the pass rusher? My darkhorse pick there, Josh Wilson.

    I'd like to see your evaluation of these situations. Thanks.

    First on my stuff, PA .. CJ and Adrian Peterson are BAP Picks and now it's time to get serious, this is my final mock and I'm trying to nail as many picks as I can, so it's time to think like a GM {and not like the fan that I am}, and that means paying dead serious attention to BAP Value

    I would take the QB as well for the Raiders, but CJ is a freak, 6' 5"/230, runs in the 4.3's and leaps to the moon, he's just a freakish athlete and I think the Raiders will take him if they can't trade down a few spots

    As for Peterson, IMO he's clearly the BAP at #4 if the board falls this way and I think the Bucs will take him, Caddy or no Caddy, but I could be wrong

    Grubbs seems to be the highest rated OG on darn near everyones board, including Gil Brandt, so that was not designed for Blalock to slide to the Jets .. it looks like Grubbs and Blalock may come off the board in that order

    As for your mock, PA .. Lynch to the Titans makes sense, I almost did that myself, but there's no way he slides to 41 or even out of the 1st RD .. I would say the Titans is the furthest you should project him

    Too early for Josh Wilson .. I like him a lot in RD 2, but 25 is way too early in my view .. I think you have to choose between Blalock and Spencer, or Houston if he's still on the board, but it's too soon for Josh Wilson .. as for Blalock or Spencer, I struggled with that one myself, so you really can't go wrong either way, it all comes down to your gut feeling?

    1. TB Used a top 5 pick already for Carnell Williams 2 yrs back. No chance they get another RB

    2. Chiefs would want a CB and are very interested in Aaron Ross. That's where I see Ross falling and going in matter of fact.

    3. Harrell seems awfully high there. I dont think hes a top 20 pick, or a top 30 pick.....

    4. Dont think NE grabs Spencer over Polzunsky or Timmons IMO

    5. Not a major fan of Blalock to NYJ but I wont tear up again. Its a ''Ehh its ok'' pick for me.

    Aside from that though, no real major complains here though.

    Given that, we could almost certainly trade Vilma and 25 to Tampon Bay, and grab either Peterson, Branch or Willis.

    Dont get me wrong I like Thomas Jones, but having a much younger back (not Leon) behind him for the inevitable, considering we got him for Nothing, makes sense.

    I think Peterson will fall because of the injury. Rumors are Rampant that Atlanta will give up their 1st, #39 and #44 to Detroit to move up and take Johnson if Oakland doesn't take him at #1. Blalock at #25 seems too expensive. A lot of drafts show him in the upper 2nd round now. So maybe we try and trade down if that's what we want.

    12. BILLS - Darrelle Revis, CB, Pittsburgh
    ===
    14. PANTHERS - Adam Carriker, DL, Nebraska
    ===
    15. STEELERS - Leon Hall, CB, Michigan

    I like Revis over Hall as well Jabba, but I don't see the Bills drafting him over Leon Hall when it comes down to pulling the trigger.

    Also, for the Panther's pick, we all need to have our fingers crossed they jump on Olsen. Supposively they're real high on him, and that would be a dream come true for all of us Jets fans who don't want anything to do with him. I can see them picking Carriker as well, but I'm hoping that they go with Olsen. I see Carriker ending up with the Steelers at 15 and Revis dropping as low as the Giants at 20. But somewhere in between 16-20, with the possibility of someone trading up to nab him.

    ===
    24. PATRIOTS - Chris Houston, CB, Arkansas
    ===

    I don't see the Patriots as the ones who reach for Houston. I think Houston is a reach anywhere in the first round. I think the pick here for the Pats is Brandon Meriweather. He seems to fit they're style of defense and he's tremendously talented. A great replacement for Harrison.

    25. NY JETS - Justin Blalock, T/G, Texas
    ===

    I think this is the safe pick for the Jets. But in all honesty I'm tired of safe after picking the 2 safest picks in the first round last year. Let's make a splash in the first round and pick from a wealth of guards in rounds 2 and 3. Jabba, you have Jarrett falling out of the first round. To me this is nuts, but it seems as though he is slipping badly. The Jets should draft him at 25 if he is there. I'm warming up to the idea of drafting a wideout in the first round. I love Coles and Cotchery, but neither of them are capable of making some of the plays Jarrett makes. We don't have that redzone option yet in our arsenal and with Jarrett through the air in the RZ and the power running game with Jones, I think our offense would be MUCH more dangerous close to the goaline.

    Overall though, one of the better mocks I've seen. Not predictable, but makes sense. People need to remember that the draft is highly unpredictable and the Mel Kiper and other draft "experts" picks are usually far from what actually takes place on draft day.

  8. ooo.. I love Blalock, but I dunno about passing on Ginn if he's there.

    I'm not suggesting he's a #1 WR or anything like that..but he'd give of our offense another big time threat, especially on the quick screens/outs that our team loves to run, as well as in th return game.Also can't deny the value he presents at # 25.
