As long as nobody gets hurt and the players are mature about it and not carrying it over to tomorrow, it's fine.

The one thing nobody mentioned is that aside from football being a contact sport with lots of aggression, etc., these guys are also playing for their jobs. Some for starting jobs, and some to be employed at all, so you have to put it all out there. To me it shows that the guys really care about what they're doing out there and aren't just going through the motions, so that's all good.

I think these fights are a very good thing. It's been a long time since this team has had an attitude.

Hehe, I just went to the convenience store to get a cup of Joe and almost spit out my coffee. Front page of The New York Post in the upper right hand corner: 'FOOTBRAWL AT JETS CAMP'. Back page: 'GANG WARS'.

    http://www.nypost.com/sports/jets/jets.htm

I don't know who won the fight between Thomas Jones and James Ihedigbo, but, uh, I wouldn't want to get punched in the face by Guns.

EDIT & P.S.: I figured I'd post (no pun intended) the the photo directly, because their photos often disappear after a day or so over there.

Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots, indeed.

Shouldn't the player in the red jersey be far, far away from any tussle?

This was great. The only bit of NFL coverage on Aussie TV for 6 months and it's a story about my Jets having a training scuffle. I nearly shed a tear of joy.

Upon further review of the Jet fighting pics on the main site, what the hell is Clemens doing??

I like the fire, plus he knew to take on someone who wouldn't fight back (BT).

Looks like he is getting swatted away like a fly.

If my memory serves me right, didn't the Ravens have a lot of fights in their past training camps also? I seem to remember seeing reports in the papers about it.

Heheh, we essentially went from being a "Gentleman's" football team, to a "Brawler's" football team. It's always fun when you have a new system and philosophy and it allows you to have some fun.

I believe so. And their defensive players also played for bounties.
