You have to look at the time line to perhaps get my drift here. Cleveland had us down, but SloJoe and the rest of the team did their best work late for the upset win. Mentally, that had to give the team's collective mindset a boost. We lost to the Bengals but that loss seems to have been left in the junk bin when we got to Pittsburgh. Again, down late and Zach actually lead the team to another upset victory. In fact, the Jets played better football all day long against the Steelers who I think were over confident. They were so shocked they lost that they came out this week and got their asses smoked by JA and the Bills. Live by the blitz? die by the blitz. The Jets moved on and I think made a commitment to win a game at MetLife for the fanbase. Sent an early message to the Phish by drilling TeddyB and forcing them to play their 3rd stringer. We lead the entire game beginning to end. The D showed up and made huge plays. MLF didn't get too cute and stayed with the running game. Felt like a well balanced effort today and the best part? All the stupid penalties didn't happen!!
Have the Jets turned the corner? I think we find out next week but so far, judging on the body of work we've seen? I'd have to say we have. If the rest of the league still wants to take us for granted? let them.. Just ask Tyreek Hill what happens when you get in the way of a Peterbuilt..

I need to see another solid effort, win or lose, against GB. However, the NFL has been put on notice: Breece is becoming a force to be reckoned with.

Two things I didn't like: The dopey 4th and 2 call by LaFleur and also those pass interference penalties on under thrown passes.

I need to see another game or two of competence before I'm willing to say that we've turned the corner. For now, though, it's just nice that the last couple of games have been flat out embarrassing like we've seen from so many games over the past several years.

Agreed.. Next week will be a great test of where this team is. Going up against a legend will test this defense. Lucky for us, the Packer D doesn't scare anyone either so points will be on the board.

Nice win today but I am not yet convinced we've turned any corners - yet. Hell yes I want to be convinced, I really do in fact. I'll venture to say that today's game is a game the SOJ's lose 10 out of 10 times, and this game was 19-17 through 3 quarters and was a totally losable game. I am pleased at zero Zach ints, and think that is the most important thing besides the victory in the division, at home, which seems like this hasn't happened since 2010. Next week is a tough spot. I despise Aaron Rodgers and hope they knock him out like they did Teddy B. Denver just turned into a winnable game is RW is out with his torn pec.

I just want to beat NE at least once this year.

I think another takeaway from this game was no stupid penalties. That in itself shows a huge improvement in their mindset.

It's been encouraging with the play of these rookies so far this season, Gardner, Hall, and Wilson look like guys that can be top tier players at their positions. JJ has had some good moments as well, and I know he was out this game, but even the play of Max Mitchell was solid for 3 and a half weeks.

The Jets have gotten themselves what looks to be a nice group of core players this draft class.

There’s only so much you can do about those DPI calls on underthrown passes. The NFL needs to stop rewarding teams for shit fucking passes.

Way to Early to be saying this, I do like how they turned it on in the 4th, and continued to get in the end zone.

I'd like to see more out of our passing game, with the recievers we have that isn't asking much, granted we didn't need it today.

Next week will be a huge test, but very winnable, I've watched the majority of Packer's games, and they're anything but special

Agreed. It's always a test when you go up against a QB who will be a first-ballot Hall of Famer, but given how the Packers are struggling at certain positions, like WR, it does line up as a game we should certainly be competitive in at the least as long as the team that showed up today against Miami shows up next week.

I said it in the game thread, I’ll say it again. If we can manage what we’ve been showing in the 4th quarter ALL game long we’re going to be dangerous.

    We have the talent
The game seems to be coming together for Zach

I think we’re going to get better and better. Before the season started, I don’t think anyone predicted us being 3-2 after the first five games.

I don’t know if we’ve turned a corner; I hope so. We’ve definitely exceeded anyone’s expectations. I’m praying we can keep it up!

Let's get one win against a not-terrible team playing their starting QB before we go there. The Packers should be a good test though. Not saying we have to win, but we have to look respectable.

I think the Jets have turned the corner. In years past they would squander their lead in the fourth quarter and suffer a crushing defeat. Now we witness the Jets afterburner's kicking in during the final quarter as they seize victory. The Jets seem to get stronger as the game goes on.

Lambeau is another big test. The Jets have held their own in hostile Browns and Steelers stadiums. I'm not making Superbowl plans just yet, but I'm starting to believe.

    Go Jets.

What it feels like to me is that the Jets have shifted from being primarily victims of other teams good fortune to being opportunistic muggers of other teams misfortune.

This is a good thing. It means that instead of 4-13 we have a real shot at 8-9 or something like that and this is a huge difference in terms of watchability.

In order for me to see the Jets as a really competitive team against good teams I'm going to have to see one of two things:

    1. Zach Wilson is going to have to get consistent protection from the OL and he's going to have to take advantage of that by becoming a more consistent passer.

    2. The defense. Dear god the defense...

If I see one of those things I'm going to think maybe the Jets have some interesting play ahead in December. If I see both I'm going to be pretty sure December will be fun.

I won't say they've turned the corner yet, but they're in a nice power slide.:D

But this game marks a major step in the right direction by them seizing momentum from the beginning, and withstanding some mistakes, and then finishing the deal...exactly the type of performance good teams have done to use over the years. Winning in GB isn't mandatory, but keeping the game close and winnable to the end, along with Zach continuing to improve are big things I'm looking for.
