Favre just became the only QB in the NFL to defeat all 32 teams. Steve Young said, "That is one of the coolest stats I have heard in a long time." Favre now has 173 wins as a starting QB (most all-time) They put a rocking chair in front of his locker, before the game tonight. Favre will be 40 on Saturday. If you play FOREVER, it is amazing how many records a guy can have...LOL
Good thing they don't have him to screw them in the NFC championship game anymore. They dominated last year, and will surely do it again this year.
That had nothing to do w/ the D being top 6 in PA in '07 compared to 22nd last year. It was all favre which is why we won the division last y... oh wait we faded down the stretch like Brett seems to do every year. he's playing great NOW(talk to me in December) and I'm glad we got him b/c his terrible play led to us getting rex and sanchez.
So Favre had nothing to do with there success, only there failure. Sure it wasn't all Favre, but no way in hell they make that NFC championship game w/o him. They were in overtime with a damn good team. He made a bad mistake. If the Vikings stay healthy they're a superbowl contender this year.
He was a big part of their success in 2007 and he brought them down in 2007 w/ his horrible performance against the Giants at home. The Vikes aren't getting anywhere near a SB, Favre fades late every year. It will happen again.
The Giants D was very good that year, Romo and Brady who both had great years looked very average against that D. It wasn't all Favre, give the Giants D some credit
He means if Favre doesn't fade this year they are SB contenders..but you're right chances are he will again. Or maybe not actually...playing in what? 10 dome games this year? Plus having the best running back in the world helps too.
I was glad to see him go after the 8-3 debacle, but wow he looked good last night. He is tearing it up in Minn. Although, he did seem to have all the time in the world, why wouldn't they blitz him?
Now I am reading rumors that he faked his arm injury last year, just so that he get on the Vikings. Is that possible??!!
Romo has never won a playoff game. I give them all the credit in the world for what they did to Brady but Favre had the Giants at home and had multiple opportunities after the Giants K kept missing FGs. Remember, Brady did lead an 80 yd drive in the finl mins to give NE the lead.
The Packers put up more offense against the Giants than Brady and the Patriots. There was some bad defense and stupid penalties in that game that helped the Giants push it to OT. Favre gave them a chance to win that game before OT. He made a bad play in OT to lose it. Every QB makes bad throws, not every QB gives you what Favre does.
Maybe now that he's beaten every NFL team, he'll you know... retire? Naaaah... lol Not without a big media circus first.
He also finally broke the all-time record for number of times a player causes multiple members of the MNF broadcasting team to experience spontaneous premature ejaculation.
