Favre always has an excuse for his bad play. First it was tedonitus in his elbow. Then it was a fractured ankle. Now, he claims that he reinjured his shoulder and doesn't know if he will be able to play next week. (according to Ed Werder) I'm sure that somehow, Favre will manage to overcome his crippling injuries and stagger onto the field next week. The old drama queen is setting the stage for another heroic effort.
Favre should just retire today. He's done. He should have never come back after he retired from GB, but even still, after last season he should have called it a career.
Mangini was on with Fattso Friday and said there was no indication Favre was hurt at the end of 2008, he never missed practice or took off a throwing day. Then a year later says he should have sat down.
he is a super tool. i think it has run its course with him. nobody really cares what he says or does anymore. he can just fade away into obscurity. he hasnt won anything in 15 years and the only ones who give a damn what he does are espn. i dont even think the vikings fans care anymore. they had a very good team up there and childress sold his soul to the devil to bring in favre and it will cost him for years to come.
I don't think Childress will even get a coordinator position anymore. You're right, he sold his soul for Favre but now he makes it a point to rip him every chance he gets. That's a snake that no owner would want associated with their franchise. Anonymous or not, players are saying they HATE him. I get that it's entirely possible that reporters could be taking liberties with what's said to them but how many times have reports like this leaked out about the Vikings locker room?
it has turned into an absolute mess. the guy is out for sure and i agree i wouldnt want him as a jock strap washer right now. i wouldnt even trust him under rexs management. no way no how. its a shame for their fans that they had such a good team and now they are probably a little too old to get anywhere before its time to start over. oh well... at least we dont have to worry about them!!!
I heard the head coach say he threw every day in practice and never mentioned any need to sit until a year later when both were in different cities. I think Favre is full of shit, always has been and I'm glad he's long gone from here. Who knows if he really had surgery or not or how severe it was?
You realize Mangini could get in trouble with the league if he admitted Favre was injured and he didn't put it on the injury report, right? Your hate is making you sound silly here. The guy had surgery. Who knows if he really had surgery? C'mon man.
I'm telling you what the head coach said. If Mangini knew and Favre was throwing the season away, which he was, why wasn't he at least resting or getting treatment during the week, which he wasn't? The coach still runs the team, said he had no idea Favre was hurt. Or, better yet, why didn't Favre adjust his game if he coudn't throw instead of throwing pick after pick when we're fighting for the playoffs? Because he's too stupid, maybe? Or he just wanted out of here and didn't give a shit? Face it, your boy sucked here, he was a giant mistake, Broadway Brett.
Knowing Favre I wouldn't put it past him to have a surgery on a non-existant injury just so he has another excuse.
Clemens was the alternative. Obviously Mangini wouldn't say shit now if he knew he was injured. It would be retarded for him to acknowledge that. And I've acknowledged that he sucked. I'm not arguing that. I'm not going to be ridiculous like you and try to make outrageous statements like "who knows if he even had surgery".
Or is he setting things up so that an injury is what breaks his streak rather than penis photos? Funny coincidence that it's the same shoulder that the Jets team surgeon operated on. Either way, looks like it could be a Jet employee that ends the streak..
He played alright yesterday. He wouldn't have thrown any of those picks if his teammates didn't treat the field like a slip and slide
Hey, were you there? My point is pretty simple, surgery or no surgery--Favre didn't say anything at the time so how would Mangini know? Favre got no treatment, didn't take off from throwing, if the coach knows he's hurt and is hiding it from the league they would've at least gotten him treatment or lightned up his reps in practice. We know that didn't happen because everyone in the organization acknowledged that it didn't. So then why come out and say it a year later when you're gone and throw the coaching staff under the bus? It's always Favre looking out for Favre, everyone else is lying or wrong. At least one person believes him, you.
As the world turns according to Brett Favre. I'm tired of this program and I am changing the channel. *click*
