As many as us already know Teticleverde had some good years and bad years as a NYJ . With that said If Glass Arm fails as our QB this year or gets injured and Pat back is just garbage would you like the Jets to sign Father Time as a back up ? You know we all want Captin injury to come back strong and take the Jets deep into the playoffs but really what alternatives do we have if our QBS just suck . Run the ball well we didnt draft Reggie or Landale the 2 best available . Martin is only getting closer to two things the Senior Citizen Discount and an anylist for ESPN. so if we cant pass and cant run what do we look forward to . Id say our O line as long as they continue to get better each game they could be the best the Jets saw .
If Penny, Ramsey, Clemens and Brooks are all on the bus that goes off a cliff and there are no survivors, I would rather see either Brad Smith, Kevin Eakins, Doug Flutie, Ray Lucas, Dewayne Robertson, Curtis Martin or Joe Namath as the new starting QB then Vinny.

There is no way that Vinnie is palying anywhere next year. Last pass was a TD and he has called it a career..... IMO, he has to be in the NYJ Front Office somehow, somewhere, and sooner than later. He is too popular with e fan base to not capitalize on his personality. Parcells brought in former players that admittedly where his guys. Mangini has followed that with Cox, Anderson and keeping Corwin Brown. Vinny will be on the NYJ payroll in some capacity...Just not on the sideline.
