    Fantasy Baseball Q&A

So, the fantasy season is underway, and it would be cool to get a single, organized thread to help keep the forum somewhat clean.

Post your team, post your questions. Hopefully it'll become an active thread.

I have my final draft tonight at 8:30, and am interested on draft input.

Question 1: Where has A-Rod been going your drafts?
Question 2: Hanley is off the board, do you pick Pujols, or Wright?

I'm on the fence, but I think I'm leaning towards Wright, because of the lack of 3B depth.

I had the first pick in a 10 team draft and A-Rod was gone by my second pick.

    Pujols without question.

"Fantasy Baseball Q&A" or something similarly shorter than the thread title you went with here would be more effective. Asking a moderator to change the title would be good.

With Hanley Ramirez off the board, I would take Albert Pujols and I did.

Both of my drafts occurred last week.
In my 14-team league with a live draft and some top notch fantasy baseball managers, A-Roid went 23rd overall.
    My draft-
    Key West Rams/Oilers
    1. (3) Albert Pujols
    2. (26) Manny Ram?rez
    3. (31) Jake Peavy
    4. (54) Joe Mauer
    5. (59) Troy Tulowitzki
    6. (82) Carlos M?rmol
    7. (87) Chone Figgins
    8. (110) Vernon Wells
    9. (115) Brian Fuentes
    10. (138) Nelson Cruz
    11. (143) Zack Greinke
    12. (166) Randy Johnson
    13. (171) Max Scherzer
    14. (194) Joey Devine
    15. (199) Rick Ankiel
    16. (222) Ubaldo Jim?nez
    17. (227) Gil Meche
    18. (250) Daniel Murphy
    19. (255) Melvin Mora
    20. (278) Travis Snider
    21. (283) Dexter Fowler
    22. (306) Jeremy Guthrie
    23. (311) Jody Gerut
    24. (334) Jensen Lewis

In my 10-team league with an auto draft, A-Roid went 47th overall. There are at least two other TGG members in that league. I did not bother to pre-rank players in that league. Yahoo! did all the drafting for me.

    Our teams-

Holy smokes. I am looking at those two other teams for the first time. Kinsler went 2nd overall to SixFeetDeep and Pujols went 5th! Maybe SixFeetDeep has some top secret inside info on Kinsler.

I snagged Arod in the 2nd round at pick number 25 to be exact. Check this out, I had the 4th pick in a 14 team league. We have a slot for a 1B, 3B, and a 1B/3B. My first 3 picks were

    David Wright
    Alex Rodriguez
    Justin Morneau

    WTF?

Meh - that's pretty much normal for when those guys go. Morneau maybe slipped a bit more than usual but nothing crazy.

Yeah, it was an autopick. To have been awarded Kinsler 2nd overall, you had to have preranked him that high. If you didn't prerank, you would have gotten Pujols. If that is not the case, then Yahoo!'s doing some weird shit this year.

Yahoo has messed up auto picking stuff. In one of my Yahoo leagues with an autodraft, Kinsler went in the top 20, Morneau slipped to round 4 and Hanley was pick 5 O_O

What team fares better in this trade (or, if you think it's even, which side would you take)?

    Team A gets:
    Albert Pujols
    Aramis Ramirez
    Jacoby Ellsbury

    Team B gets:
    Hanley Ramirez
    Lance Berkman
    Chipper Jones

Would it affect your decision if you knew that team A has Tulowiski ready to step in at SS and Team B has Carlos Gomez ready to step in at OF?

    Uggla, Delgado, Cameron, Buehrle

    for

    Mark DeRosa, Ethier, Matsuzaka?

No. Nobody you're getting in that deal is worth Uggla.

Ethier, the Dodgers 2009 cleanup hitter, is probably worth Uggla. Dice-K's ERA is going to flirt with 4 unless he made some offseason changes though.
