i didn't want him anyways. i never get why people get excited over prospects who's stock has risen literally in the weeks before the draft. why weren't they mentioned before?
PLEASE That's been commented on and answered for years, but since you obviously don't know what you are talking about, I will waste 2 minutes of my valuable day to educate you. 1. BB was promised that if he didn't take the KC job, they'd give him money and promise that he'd take over when Parcells stepped down.....AND that as HC he'd have the final say on football operations. 2. When Parcells stepped down AND stayed as GM, BB knew he'd never have final say on football operations. He told the Jet brass NOT to announce him as HC. They did so anyway, and he resigned. C'mon DG, would you take a CEO job when you knew that you had total responsibility for the results, yet you didn't have final say on operational decisions? I didn't think so. But think about it. If Parcells had simply left the team, BB would have been the Jets HC for the last 12 years.
he signed a contract saying that once parcells stepped down he would take over. he resigned after one day. he lied, get over it.
The Jets must have expected the Seahawks to take Coples, which meant Jones would have been next on the list. I mean, who in their right mind would have thought the Seahawks would take Bruce Irvin at #16? That dropped Coples and paved the way for him to join the Jets.
According to reports, they would have taken DeCastro, not Jones. And I would have loved to have had that happen. http://www.nydailynews.com/blogs/jets/2012/04/jets-would-have-selected-stanford-ol-david-decastro-at-no-16-if-quinton-coples-was-off-
He should have just given the million bucks back that he stole from Hess and then there wouldn't be a story. Of course Bellishit has made a career out of stealing, hasn't he?
I think the hype was that he's the younger brother of UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Jon "Bones" Jones, and he could make an impact
I wonder if DeCastro's agent had a call from the Jets saying he was going to be the pick. Maybe the Jets had a trade down partner and planned to take Jones after moving but the value of Coples at 16 was too hard to pass up. Who knows, its all speculation but its interesting that the Jets called Jones' agent.
yeah this is really a non story. these things happen. as much as tannenwhateverthefuckhisnameis annoys me i cant blame him for being a douche on this one.
Because the stupid people on TV don't realize dont realize who is good all of the time, which is why they are stupid people on TV. Teams have people listed where they are from December. Its only the "experts" that have people "moving up and down" draft boards. I'm really getting tired of their act.
