    This is from Todd McShay
    4. D'Brickashaw Ferguson, OT, Virginia
    29. DeAngelo Williams, RB, Memphis
    35. Brodie Croyle, QB, Alabama
    71. John McCargo, DT, N.C. State
97 (comp) James Anderson, OLB, Virginia Tech
    103. Roman Harper, DS, Alabama
117 (From KC) Rob Sims, OG, Ohio State
    138. Derrick Martin, DC, Wyoming
    211. Mike Kudla, DE, Ohio State

Thoughts? I love the first two picks. Third pick however, I HATE. IMO too high to spend on any qb outside the big three, especially on an overrated (IMO) croyle. Just wanted some thoughts.

Brick is fine. DeAngelo is great for where we get him. Brodie - can't argue with that. McCargo ain't gonna be there. Anderson - nice. Roman Harper - wicked nice. Rob Sims - love. Derrick MArtin - um, dunno. Kudla - not gonna be there and a terrible pick regardless.

I'm not in love with D'Brick, but if that were the draft, I would be ecstatic. Addresses the offensive line with Brick, addresses runningback with a great value in De Angelo, and we grab Croyle, whom I love. McCargo is a steal at 71, and I like the Ohio State and Va Tech guys, too.

I actually like Croyle at 35 only if we get another second rounder. I would trade the #4 to the Raiders for their #7 & #38. I would take Ngata at #7, Carpenter or Lawson at #29, Croyle at #35, Mcneil or Colledge at #38 and Ryan O'callaghan at #71

That'd be one badass draft. Does anyone know why Deangelo Williams' stock is dropping so drastically?

I like the first round, Croyle in the second would be OK with me, no chance McCargo's there at 71, and I think we need an OLB higher.

Man McCargo should NOT drop out of the 2nd round. Hes a top 5 tackle IMO

Because the teams that wanted RBs earlier fixed it through FA

i don't think DeAngelo drops that far down, the Jags or Carolina will probably pick him

It's just that nobody really needs a RB that badly. Everyone who did filled it with FA, the Cards (James), Packers (Green and Davenport) and the Vikings (Taylor). Ahead of us, the Vikes might still take him if they don't think Taylor can be a full time back, but besides that his only real options are the Pats at 21 and the Jags right ahead of us at 28. I think Jacksonville is his most likely landing spot.

Yes. I would be vehemently opposed to that. Joseph is a mid-round 2 caliber offensive guard, and we have Moore and Kendall already there, so we're okay.

I would be psyched if deangelo fell to us at #29. I would be extremely pissed if we picked d'brick at #4.

I disagree, I dont think we should pick him, but hes arguably the top guard in the draft, tied with Gilles, both of whom have the talent to go towards the end of the 1st. Gilles may be slipping due to his questionable work ethic, lack of athleticism, and troublesome weight problems, but Joseph's the exact opposite. Hes a completely different player, but still just as dominant, consistently gradin out as one of the best players on one of the best lines in the country.

I'm lukewarm on Ferguson, but Williams at 29 would be enough of a steal to compensate for it.

I can understand why some are down on D'Brick, however since this mock has the Titans taking Leinart, D'Brick is probably a no-brainer at #4 (unless you want to make the ballsy pick of Vernon Davis). Croyle at #35 is the one pick in the draft I really hate, way too early for him IMO.

Every mock by a so called expert has us taking D Brick which leads me to believe we aren't. I actually don't like that draft. I don't know who the previous 3 were but supposing it went Bush, Williams, Young I'd have to take Davis, Hawk or Lienart before I take D brick. I think Williams and his lack of premier competition and size is more a reason his stock has fell and I don't like Croyle at 35. His knees are fragile, and he proved he needs a top flight WR to get the job done something if you watched any Bama games this year he proved. IMO Croyle is a 2nd string QB at best.
