    Nick Folk > Jay Feely

I heard that in 2014, most coaches will put linebackers at kicker because they can make tackles on special teams!

Nick Folk really isn't that good, he got lucky a few times this season otherwise it would have been a disaster. Also, he doesn't know overtime rules, lol.

There's no such thing as "good" or "bad" kickers. There's only hot, cold, or Vinatieri.

Folk has been pretty good for us. It's nice to see him get some respect. People STILL think Braylon has bad hands...

Nick Folk is the descendant of one of the people who invented Thanksgiving. Who are we to doubt him?

You think that's bad? Matt Dodge is listed there at punter and Giant fans want him dead.

Folk had a good year overall but he missed too many chip shots including that one at NE which could have been costly after the Harris INT. I was happy w/ him overall but I still never felt confident when he lined up for a kick and it sounds like he may not be back.

How was David Harris not listed as a choice?

The LB listed were outstanding though, plus Harris is an ILB who doesn't have off the chart stats like some of the other guys. If the Jets pass rush was better he would have probably been listed.

I wouldn't put him there over guys like: Matthews, Willis, Ware, Beason, Hali, etc. In that same respect though he should have definitely taken one of the spots that Laurinatis, Hightower, or Misi are holding.

Just out of curiosity because I have yet to look at the free agent kickers, who would replace Folk thats out there? I understand having a young kid come in and compete with him but I'm not sure if there's a kicker we can go get that will allow us to cut Nick and feel like we did improve at that position.

There really isn't anyone. Garrett Hartley went from looking like the next Vinatieri during the Saints superbowl run and nearly gets cut the following season. It's all mental. Vanderjagt was tremendous for a few years and then fell off the face of the Earth.

Folk has the tools to be an elite kicker but I'm not sure he has it between the ears.

We signed Nick Novak, I think we probably take the same approach w/ him that we took w/ Folk last year.
