First of all, I don't see why he is such a "distinguished quarterback" when he's the backup for Vick. VICK!!!:sigh: I've seen this guy play in only a few games and admit he is good but be reasonable. Why do the jets want him so bad if they traded for Ramsey? Ramsey would have still been there if they waited forever. I don't get the strategy here. Why can't they just ask for a different player along with the 1st round pick? Can someone please explain the logic. Please don't tell me it's "Chad insurance" cus they already got bollinger and ramsey
Yeah, I don't get it either, but apparently quite a few FO's are smitten w/ this dude. Still, I'd rather have someone with his upside instead of a draft pick.
...I'm not sure why you are so high on Vick, if there is an over rated player in the NFL it's Vick,... ....Schaub reminds me of Hassleback when he was Farve's backup and Holmgren was smart enough to see his ability...Schaub IMO has the ability to be a very good QB in this league.... ....I do agree that the Jets could look at the Falcons roster and take a player + their 2nd rd pick to finish the deal, but I like the way our FO is playing hardball back w/ Abe....Bradway would have buckled already....
Yeah, all of a sudden, Schaub is the second coming of Marino, and he can't beat Vick out? Laughable. Tell Atlanta to shove it where the sun don't shine and the wind don't whine!
if it wasnt for that 4.2 speed bollinger could probably beat out vick. he has to be the worst passing starting qb in the league. every year atlanta needs wr. maybe it isnt the wr's fault they arent getting top tier production out of your passing game.
what's also weird is for some reason atlanta is in love with schuab. it's like they treat him like vick.
i think the hype is there because hes better than anything weve got right not. Id rather have Shaub in there than a very fragile pennington i do love penneington though, me and my buddy got in a big arguement which resulted in me going to the comp to the check his numbers, he was one of the best for a while
Do you for one second think if Schaub outplayed Vick they would start him? Vick is the golden boy of that franchise. They will never bench him.
Yeah, they would have to get rid of Vick if they made Schaub the starter.... BUT... the owner of the Falcons has mad man love for Schaub, supposedly. Vick talks too much... remeber the "I'm confused" thing that he came out with recently? The thing is, Vick puts that franchise in a bind... they can't bench him, and can't trade mhim. I think Mora kneels in front of Buddah on a regular basis, praying for some divine intervention.
I think Schaub is a way better QB then Vick...All Vick can do is run...He had a QB rating of 16 against us last year but people would go nuts in Atlanta if they ever benched him, even though their team would be better off with Schaub under center. Personally I feel that if we get a good OL through the draft and FA then any of the three we have now can lead this team.
