Having El Duque back in any way, shape or form could help this team right now, pending the outcome of the NLCS.

I hope Willie doesn't think that Trachsel pulling himself out of the game somehow makes him (Willie) look better. Is the implication that Willie would have left him out there to give up more runs? The guy had just thrown four pitches that were each two feet out of the strike zone to load the bases. At the time we were congratulating Willie for "fooling" the umps into giving Oliver unlimited time to warm up. Now it apparently turns out that he wanted Trachsel to stay out there. Sounds like ol' Trax was thinking more clearly than you were, Willie.

Darren Oliver in game 7 would be great. Hopefully we can take the next 2 games and use Oliver in game 1, 2 or 3 of the WS.

easy bitter Yank fan ( I assume)

don't see where anyone said that...simply pointing out a report.....which even the poster of this thread said "pending the outcome of the LCS"

I don't want to count chickens before they hatch, but if the Mets were to make it to the World Series I wonder if Trachsel would be on the roster.

He's sucked in the playoffs and there was that mysterious personal issue at the end of the regular season, which I don't think was ever explained. The Mets must be really pissed.

I'm sure Trachsel will be there but maybe as a Long Reliever. Darren Oliver will probably take his place.

No, Trachsel cannot not come out of the pen unless he has a good 2 innings prior to that to warm up.

    Divorce.

And hopefully the "injury" keeps him from pitching.
