Looks like Bowe and the Chiefs are going to part ways. Bowe can be an interesting possibility for us.
Eh just another WR that built a name off of one good season. He's not the type of guy that makes a QB better. That was evident last season. We need a guy to stretch the field or to bump Decker down to 2 on the depth chart. Bowe does neither.
jeez guys for being fans of an organization with terrible wide receivers you all sure are picky. Bowe's not an MVP WR and wouldn't be the proverbial "no.1." here but he'd be a reliable possession WR, especially on 3rd downs. I could see him signing a deal similar to Steve Smith last year in Baltimore, 3 year / 10.5 mil. I could see him having a similar impact. Putting up decent numbers as a reliable pass receiver here. I'd take him for that. Obviously we all would like the next Calvin Johnson but that doesn't mean we snub our noses at decent receivers who could help along the way. Especially when you look at the roster as is and the type of talent. Bowe would be a good safety net for whoever is QBing
over the hill, unmotivated underachiever who hasn't hit paydirt in 2 years. KC receivers scored 0 TDs in 2014
Wouldn't that be more indicative of the Chiefs and Alex Smith? He's not as good as he once was but he'll be cheap. I'd like him on a two year deal at about $3M a season.
Agree just not on Bowe. You want to give a deal to Torrey Smith? Michael Crabtree? Sure. Problem is, Dwayne Bowe just is not a good player. Again, I'd be happy with him on the depth chart but not in a "Steve Smith" role. He's not Steve Smith. He's not even on the same level. Give Bowe a 2 year/5 mil deal. That's his value.
he played with a fucked up finger all last year that caused him to drop a bunch of balls he normally catches. if he's healed up he's definitely worth a look but I don't think KC let's him walk if the finger is good. I wouldn't be shocked to see him retire tbh.
