I haven't been to a Jet game in two years and I've heard parking has become a nightmare.

I have a parking pass if I drove how early would I have to get there? Or am I better off taking the train? I could drive to secaucus junction and take the train.

How are is the train stop from the stadium?

    Thanks

I think that if you're there before 10AM it won't be a problem. Anything later, especially for a home opener against the Pats, is going to be a mess.

    Train it is. lol

My co-worker gave me the tickets since he couldn't go to the game because of the Jewish Holiday. :metal:

10AM? Nah... if you come later, you'll still get parking with a pass, but you'll be a long walk from the stadium. It still beats parking offsite.

As a general rule (because I have tickets to the Titans game), how is the train?

Just opened recently, so I doubt anyone has taken it just yet. I usually take the bus from the Port Authority and it works fine.

    I Took the Train Already

Here is the skinny, buy the ticket for NJ Transist ahead of time at vending machine in Penn. Take any NJ Transist train that says SEC, meaning it stops at Secuacus Junction. The trains at Secucus run every 15 minutes and may or may not match up with your train from Penn.

You can drink a beer in a brown bag on Train ride there. However, big NJ police are on train platform when you get off at Giant stadium and will arrest you if you have an open beer.

However, if you have closed contriners of alchol and you hide them under coat etc. that is ok.

Crazy ha, I had to down my beer to get off train, then when in parking lot open second tall boy that was hidden in pocket then down second tall boy before I walked in gate.

The train was great. Oh year make sure you have a round trip, otherwise buying a ticket after the game is anightmare.

With the pass you'll be fine.

I was running extremely late for the Cardinal game last year. I drove in about 12ish and still had parking. That's the point of the pass, it was one hell of a walk but still no problem.

Definitely won't hurt getting in early though, it's the home opener against the Pats, get in and party as long as possible.

In LA, the streets would have more tumbleweeds than cars on a Jewish holiday.

Driving in from LI, so I'll be on the road at 9am. I usually end up getting there by 10:15, ready to party.

Get in wont be a issue before 11-12. Its getting out that sucks but the train could also be a long line.

I checked the lirr website and you can buy round trip tickets on there website that are good from long island to the stadium. It was about $25 for roundtrip from huntington on the website.

I'm lazy as shit. Part of me enjoys the drive home because I get to hear all the post game radio coverage, part of me can't stand it because of the traffic. Think I'll try to the train for my first game.

OK, I figured I'd just bump this thread rather than creating a new one. I just bought tickets for the Titans game on ebay and don't have the parking pass. Do you think that its best to pay like $50 for the parking pass, take the train, or pay like $20 for satellite parking?

Might as well take the train so you can get trashed.

Take the train. I did. It was very easy and well organized. There was a long line to get on when leaving the game. But there were 3 trains already there. They had everyone walk to last car (that is the only one that was opened) and started filling them back to front. Once it was loaded it went to the Junction than onto Hoboken (I would assume). I got off and waited for my train. there is also a bar and place to get snacks. I would defiantly go that route again.
