http://www.cbssports.com/nfl/blog/e...-him-chance-to-play-if-mark-sanchez-struggled Did anyone else see this? I don't blame him for wanting out, he wanted a chance to start.
I do believe this "story" would have been a lot more damning if they said, you will start if Sanchez struggled.
The part that gets me is who is Drew Stanton to be marching around talking about starting this, trade me that. Here's your clipboard, Drew. Have a great career sitting behind the best quarterback prospect to hit the league in forever. Sorry you almost had to be all nervous here.
If he had an ounce of guts, he'd have thought maybe he could outlast Sanchez and Tebow. Instead he wants to latch onto a teat backing up Luck.
Guts has nothing to do with it. When the Jets signed Tebow he realized he'd signed with a ship of fools.
Career passer rating of 63.1. Wow, with those numbers I would want Sanchez or Tebow before this clown.
And so he goes, "I will not be associated with fools. I will be Andrew Luck's backup forever." Seems like he should want to start. He has no credibility on that issue after going to play behind Luck.
Also Brady Quinn and other QBs the Jets interviewed thought the free agency period. They knew Sanchez was fragile, and so did their agents!
He will be out of the league in a couple of years, unless he really likes being Luck's backup. Heck it might be a good gig, one million dollars per year and all you do is hold a clipboard and hope Luck doesn't get hurt. He could be the new Jim Sorgi. Sign me up for that job!!!
