This kid is the worst cornerback i have ever seen. Every big third down passing play was given by him. The only play he made was when the ball hit him in the back and that was only because he fell down on a cut. He let up that 3rd and 22nd too, where again he fell down on the cut. He is horrible can we please cut him. Put poteat in the slot, where's miller? put him in the slot, fricken put ahmad carrol in the slot, please just cut this kid!
Drew Coleman has talent, it's just a matter of time before he puts it all together... I understand where your coming from but I have seen worse.
I disagree. This guy's been a total liability in our defense. We always get carved up on 3rd down in what seems like the exact same parts of the field every time. We must get better in the middle of the field coverage-wise and it starts with removing Drew Coleman from the active roster.
Damn you beat me to it! I was going to post the same thing. Every time you saw a completion to a WIDE OPEN Bills receiver, Coleman was the guy in coverage. Yes, Lowery gets beat a lot but at least he's within a yard of receiver and makes the quick tackle. Watching the coverage skills of Coleman and Eric Smith, it's no wonder our secondary is so bad.
Coleman needs to dissapear forever He is worse than Eric Smith Hell I'd put Carroll in there before Coleman
No Drew Coleman does not have talent, he's been around 3 years and he's a late pick, he is a liability on the field. I don't understand what Miller did to get in Mangini's doghouse but he needs to be on the field. He was decent his rookie year and we haven't seen much of him since.
Exactly. He's doing well enough to hold a job as a fucking 3rd or 4th corner. Personally, he's not too bad. Can't have a fucking supertalent high pick at every spot.
Dude Coleman isnt even serviceable He is horrible, he has no talent, just because he's a 6th round pick doesn't mean anything, HE SUCKS! Eric Smith is more serviceable than him
I was about to post the same thing-- he's an absolute liability in every sense of the word and I purposely re-watched the 3rd and longs to assess exactly how bad he is-- has no change of direction ability. Part blame goes to Sutton, the retard, for calling the Jets signature "3rd and long, delayed blitz coming a second and a half too late, with Drew Coleman on an island...whoops another 3rd and long converted." Take away 3 of those plays and Favre's " I am a 39 year old rookie trying to make a play" pick-6 and this isn't even a game for the last 10 minutes. This was very close to being the most complete game the Jets have played this season--and although I'm overjoyed with the win-- still frustrated by some glaring, consistent weaknesses.
Bull. Tell me where this talent is. He's slow, he's about as nimble as a cow on ice, he can't read routes for shit, he bites on fakes and double moves easily, and for every decent play he makes there's another 3 first downs he gives up for being a complete suckbag. Exactly what makes you think he will put this [lack of] talent together with time?
It was very hard not to notice Drew Coleman having a bad game today. He looked lost & clearly missed 2 or 3 tackles. After Mangini made that bad call accepting that penalty, it was Coleman who fell down & let the receiver get the 1st on 3rd & long. We need a better nickel/dime back.
That "talented" cornerback almost took a hold of Lynch's facemask on the Elam pick in a weak ass attempt to "block" him from making the tackle. Lucky for us, he didn't. If that's not talent then I don't know what is.
You're serious? He's done nothing to date to prove that he has any talent or that he should even be on a football field. He sucks, and your post sucks for trying to convince us of otherwise. Should we give him and Justin Miller as much time as they need to become NFL ready? I too have seen worse- like a lump of smelly dog poo...
I don't even need a full hand to count the number of times I've seen Coleman do anything positive on the football field for the Jets. The guy sucks.
