Is he worth a look for the Jets? he is projected 7th round. 6-2 260 lbs. Watching a few of his games, he seems like a Rex Ryan LB.
Yeah I think I've said this somewhere in these forums. He plays with heart and seems quick with good moves. Only thing is size. He was a little small if I recall. His college stats are outstanding though. Worth a shot to me in Round 7 or as a UDFA.
IMO, Miller is more of a mid-round pick, maybe 5th. Has some pass rushing ability. If for some reason we don't address OLB rusher in rd 1, Miller could be an option.
Steven Friday is a player in 3rd/4th area would be a better option than Miller, better size, speed and athleticism.
I like Bruce Miller. I think he's got the drive to succeed at the next level - his talent/athleticism just isn't the same as other mid-round guys like Friday, Moch, and Acho. No one will be able to match Dontay Moch at the combine. If this kid knew how to play football, he'd be a very high pick. I think he'll slide because of lack of instincts. Arizona's Brooks Reed is a guy we should all be keeping an eye on.
I agree. The kids got the physical tools, but needs a lot of work. Pure potential at this point and worth a mid rounder. We really need front 7 help in round 1 and three, nice that the draft seesm to be good for it this year.
I like him, shows LB ability at DE. Good pursuit once the play passes the LOS and didn't look foolish when asked to drop in coverage. He has a decent bull rush too. I didn't like seeing him get caught up in the rubbish more than a few times, that and him being blocked by a WR in the Liberty Bowl...
Miller is one of those guys that I'm going to hope goes undrafted, because I can't see really using a pick on him. He's an physically limited player that I can't really justify using a pick on, like Mr. E said if they go mid round (3/4/5) they need to get a guy with potential. That said, he'll likely end up on a 43 team as a late round, hard working ST/4th DE type. Watch his measurements at the combine too, I'm afraid he might not be much over 6'0.
