Now that we are eliminated, has our draft slot/pick been finalized?

    Thanks,

    Mike

Damm, pretty far out there in the first round, but to be expected of course.

Maybe that extra 2nd will be put to good use if the team stumbles upon that "must have" player in the first.

Only time will tell, and we will certainly see alot of action between now and draft day...

Would anyone sell Vilma for a first and second? (not jumping on the anti-Vilma bandwagon, but the guy does have a helluva trade value in picks we would put to good use).

If some team was crazy enough to give a 1st and 2nd, I would help Vilma pack his bags. Problem is though no team is stupid enough to give a 1st & 2nd round pick for a GREAT leader but only a GOOD player, especially coming off a year where he was average at best..

I personally wouldn't trade him, because he's a known quality player vs. going with an unknown player in what amounts a dice role...Vilma may not be the perfect fit, but he's a good one with the smarts to help be the coach on the field for the D...a full year in the system he should improve

I too am keeping my fingers crossed that he will flourish come next year. A speedier OLB on the other side, maybe with Hobson moved next to Vilma, could work wonders. Couple that with a stronger CB corps and some real meat in the middle of the DL, DROB to the outside (perhaps) and Kimo on the first flight back to Hawaii...

why would we trade a football monster that if we sent him to another team he would clean up for them all we need is that dt that could keep the linemen off him then he could go back to doing what he does best

I agree completely, one average season and everyone is ready to get rid of an all pro LB. He is a great leader, and people seem to dismiss this and look solely at stats. having a leader like that on defense is very important, and getting rid of him for a 2nd or even late 1st (which i dont think we could get for him) is a gamble i am not willing to take, then again im not a coach or GM.

like u said ill, another year in the system and ill think he'll be right on track
